I just finished watching At World's End. I really wish the score had the full end battle music instead of the abbreviated track it came with.

Thanks for the pic... I had originally pre-ordered Jack and Elizabeth before cancelling them and now I'm considering getting back into this line (well at least for the main characters)...
Still would have preferred Elizabeth in pretty much ANY of her other looks...

After watching AWE, this is the actual relative height the figures should be. Hopefully they are close...but Jack could still do with the leg-peg removal.
This pic makes Davy look awefully short guys. It's not just the height but the all-around scale of Davy. And the chest is tiny too -- to Jack.
I'm eager to see someone post pics with Davy and the leg extender removed from Jack. It's the first thing I'm gonna do when I get my set.

I'd like to stay positive here, but this height issue with HT is beginning to really bug me.
Shortening Jack (by removing the pegs) isn't going to scale him correctly really. Davy looks just too small here.
There is some distortion on the original picture, so I'm really hoping that this exaggeration is a lens thing. Please be a lens thing.
You got to admit though, the bottom pic looks a lot better, right?

So how would one remove the leg extenders on Jack? ARE they removable? Or would some sugery have to be envolved? If it is just similar to a hand swap, I'll give it a try, but if I'm physically removing/breaking something that shouldn't be removed/broken, I don't think I could do that.
I really hope Jones is more of the scale of that second picture. I just don't see how Hot Toys would have dropped a ball that big. I mean, don't they LOOK at the figures next to eachother? Davy was always looking down to people (both figuratively and literally).

That does really bite because the AWE score was very very good. I was really hoping that the new CD collection that came out last year would have more of the extended score in it but mostly just goofy remixes. Maybe someday ZImmer will release an extended score like with what Shore did with LOTR. Those extended scores are my all time favorite and I was was so excited when they said they were going to be released.

Quite honestly, while I'm not a fan of how the Swann figure's hair was treated, the raw face sculpt that was done is phenominal. I've got a huge crush on Knightley and I can tell ya the face on the figure totally captures her perfectly, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better out there.
Ya, when I saw that gift set I got excited, but thankfully Amazon.com has previews of the extra tracks, they're nice, the actual score ones, but there's only like 2-3 tracks and I'm not dropping $60 on a set that I own 3 out of 4 discs from already just for a couple new tracks.
Ideally, I'd like the Curse and World's end scores released in full some day. I'll take DMC too, but what I'm really after is the uncut music to the Isla De Muerta duel from the end of Curse and the full Maelstrom battle music from AWE. To me, those are the 2 best pieces of music from the trilogy.

Not trying to start anything, but if you don't like the original headsculpt for Elizabeth I doubt any portrait will make you happy. It's pretty much dead on to Keira.

I was thinking that too, although he still looks long-waisted if you look from the belt to the boots. Anyway, if it is, at least we know the solution.
Maybe you could remove the extenders from Jack and put them on Elizabeth, and solve all height issues.

Well, actually, I have to take back my initial comment, I don't think Jack's modified because my Jack pants are baggy cuz I tucked them into the boots. Screen accurrate isn't that way but on the figure it looks odd leaving them out so I don't do it.
That said, I think Chase did add the extenders to Elizabeth after taking them off Jack, he had to use glue and tape though, they don't exchange like Medi extensions so once you take them off, that's it, which is why I've been hesitant to take the plunge, I get weary doing permanent things, but with 2 Jacks, I'll do one and worse case use the one intact if I don't like it.
As for Elizabeth, yes extensions will add height, but it's more than just a height issue. Will and Elizabeth are very close in their overall body mass because Orlando is a pretty slender guy, he's in shape but not buff. Really, the female body needs to be scaled alltogether closer to the male, not just heightened, otherwise I'd probably try some mods to heighten her.
Here's a great shot that shows everyone relative to each other, surprisingly, off the film cameras, Barbossa isn't much bigger than Sparrow or Turner either.
And to show what I mean about Elizabeth's whole body being out of proportion, look at this shot, her leg fits just about the same as Will's would, but if you have Will and Elizabeth in hand, you know looking at his boot, no way her leg would fit so nicely into it.
