Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Why can't more U.S. stores break street date like in Canada?

(not mine, btw)

You know, modern browsers have a spell checking feature. Just sayin'.

Behold, the first U.S. PS Vita tv ad:

It better be a teaser of a larger campaign, because if this is what Sony's got, they might as well bring back the creepy talking baby crap from '06.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

It's only six seconds long, so I'm guessing it's just a teaser for a longer ad.

I don't know what they're going for. In a sense, I don't think they do either. They never really have.

Somebody's great at their job, I was always under the impression that they were supposed to convince you to buy something, not talk you out of it. :lol

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

I should've said "western", then.

Anyway, the Vita launch window game I'm most interested by is Gravity Rush. It's the big original IP that Vita needs more of.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Gravity Rush is the game that I wished would be a launch title so bad.

I don't know what other titles to pick up when I get my Vita since I already get Uncharted for free with my pre-order.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Yeah I'm in the same boat, I have Uncharted on PO but have no clue what else to get. I kinda want a racer but cant decide yet. I was gonna get Wipeout but read some reviews so might wait for something else. Cant wait for the 15!!!

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

It seems that each racing game available at Vita's launch has at least one crippling flaw.

Wipeout 2048 has awful 40-50 second load times.
Ridge Racer skimps on content. 10 cars, 6 tracks, the rest will be dlc.
Modnation Racers has no real online competitive multiplayer.

Wipeout, from what I hear is actually pretty good if you can forgive the load times, but I never really liked its gameplay style. I'm skipping out on racing games at launch. The PSP Gran Turismo is available on PSN. I might play that on Vita.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

I was also thinking of getting a PSP title so I can see how the smoothing looks. Monster Hunter will likely be the one I get. Looks like I'll have to get myself a 16 GB card on top of the 4 GB just so I don't have to worry about space. How many of you are willing to get 32 GB cards?

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Yeah I might get GT or just hold off till something else comes out. Really want a good multiplayer game for this system and the new Mortal Kombat game looks cool, but I'm horrible at fighting games lol.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Really wanted this until I read some reviews. I think I'll wait for the inevitable price drop

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

The thought of playing COD on Vita has me very excited. Hopefully they show something off at this years E3.
