Please check your Ironman 1:1 bust

Did any of you guys notice this was damp when lifting out of the box. Did no concern me at the time but now that it's flaking on the base it has me wondering.

The base is covered with cracked paint.

Nothing on the IM portion.....yet!

Contacted SS, they said to send in pictures.
Can't wait to see what their plan of action is....

so you would think the Mark II busts will have the same issues because its the same base, and it sounds like this will be an issue that may happen to ALL the IM bases over time, just some are worse than others at this point. They should defn be giving at least a $100 refund to anyone that even has a IM bust imo.

I think the refund should be WELLLLL over $100.00. Think of what it will cost to get it repainted the RIGHT way!

Luckily, there are a good amount of people around here who could do that!

Mark 2 and BD versions will have the same issues.. Only at a higher cost..

Don't be suckered into this.. As I always mentioned its quality is at less than 1/2 retail..

They better give me a refund of $700 and I will gladly return this headache of a problem! I am not getting a partial refund then have to find someone to paint it and pay for shipping both ways to send it ou and get it back. I hope Sideshow determines soon what they will be doing.

Dont count on SS giving much $$$ to anyone for this...this bust has already cost them all kinds. Their not about to start handing out cash to everyone that bought one...and not anywhere near to full cost of the bust. If anything, I imagine they might offer points or something to that effect. But I think anyone who got one of these and kept it is on their own.

The LCS where I got my IM bust got a word from the SS rep, who take care of their orders. And here it is:

They offered me a fourth replacement for the bust, but decided to decline. I think it's not worth the headache and the hassle in sending it back and fourth. I just took the full refund or the store credit at my LCS and bought a couple of statues.

Well, I'm glad to here that the Sideshow rep. helped to resolve the issue. Honestly, I think you made the right decision.

I've said this before, but at one time, I was on the look out for this piece but after all of the mishaps, I have discontinued my search. As you said, the headache is not worth it IMO.

Yah man I'm very thankfull that everything is ok now.

I'm disappointed that I won't have this piece in my collection but I can live without it. What is most important to me is a piece of mind

I'll have to agree and say that you made the right choice. I'm sure many people, including myself, are in the same boat as far as being disappointed and not wanting to deal with the headache. It seems like a VERY high chance of problems if anyone decides to pursue this piece

Damn...just did a check of mine. I have noticed paint peeling on the front left part of the base Just got done swapping out my Angel of Death bust due to paint peeling. This sux.
