is there a design difference between Phase 1 and Phaser 2?

So, just so I understand, did they NOT wear belts in the show? If so, how did their phasers attach to their pants?

Also, Nanjin, just wanted to thank you for all you are doing. We are really excited about having original crew on our shelves!! Do you have any pics of any of your previous work?

Thanks!!

I was watching TOS. The 1st and 2nd season, they used 2 different utility belts. On 3rd season, they used a long velcro strip on the side of their pants for the phaser and another one on the back of their pants for the communicator. The attached pics were used as references. As you can see from the pictures regarding Phaser 1 n 2. The easiest way is to make them as seperate items: P1 as one unit, Phaser 2 together with Phaser 1 as another (P1 and the body of P2 as one mold unit). I think everyone wants Phaser 1 attaches to Phaser 2 like the pic.

I never done anything like this. I am hiring an action figures production company to do this. I will only allow "collector's qualities" uniforms and accessories to be made, not TOYs.

Sorry everybody, I posted the wrong format for the links and didn't notice for almost the whole day.

Thanks nanjin. I don't know what would be better - I'm turning to other people to help nanjin out here. There's probably a balance between accuracy, and what works better in 1/6 scale.

abake and anyone else? ideas?

Wow... I must admit I'm no expert on the gear aspect of Star Trek.
Personally, I like the "no belt" look better. As for how the phasers should work, it's basically all the same to me. I would have no problem if the phaser is just one solid unit.
Another question that comes to mind is boots.
Any thoughts on how to get boots for our Enterprise crew?

The boots will be based on these pictures. I will try to make the boots to be just as high as the bottom of the knee joints and the pants will be down to the mid point between the knees and feet joints, most likely lower. Material of the boots is the major issue. I hate those "rock solid" type of action figures boots (feet can't be adjusted). Makes them stand funny. I have stressed this issue when I met with the rep in HK. I think this is the most troublesome area.

If no utility belts, then the phaser attachment will be fixed - low hip.

Does McCoy need a utility bag to put his little "turning vibrator" and the medication injection device as his extra accessories? Should the bag be a loose item or attachable to the body?

Wow, the boots in soft material would be simply awesome!
Now, I might be a slow here (no surprises there!), but how will payment for these be handled, when and if this comes to pass?

The production company will show me some of their ideas on how to work with the boots. Just remember, this will take another month before we get to see anything.

Do we need McCoy's medical bag to complete his outfit? Do we need his medical accessories?

I think it would be great to have McCoy's accessories.

I'm fine with outstanding uniforms on bodies with Dark Knight or generic heads until Chris produces the real ones.

Don't know? You should ask Chris?

I plan to have all three heads done about mid March.

I also have a number of other Star Trek items for those who might be interested. There is a TOS Andorian head ready now that I will be offering along with these. At the same time I will have my Worf head available. This is adapted from my DS9 Worf figure, updated for use with a Hot Toys style small neck joint adapter.

Here they are for those who haven't seen them yet.

I realized the Andorian photo is old, before I fixed the antennae..... I'll shoot a new photo and update tomorrow.

I'm also thinking of offering the full Worf figure. I am making a mold on him anyway for some folks. PM or email me if you are interested.

Finally, I may have Voyager's B'lana Torres head ready by then, too. There is a full 1/6 figure of her as well that I recently molded should anyone be interested...

That should be all my Star Trek offerings available in about a month! :D Though there is a 1/6 Neelix figure I may be making a mold on shortly thereafter...

Thanks so much Chris! Since we hadn't heard anything lately, I thought you weren't near completion yet. Please do show WIPs when you get these in the finishing stages. BTW, I don't remember if I committed to the Andorian, I would like one. Will Kuato paint the Andorian head too?
