Wow, those do look like great heads!
Watch your language! Just kidding. These heads have a lot of faults, and they are horrible comparing to what's available out there. They look more like zombies to me. I am thinking to modify them so they can have some expressions. I really like these nazi outfits! I just ordered some insignias to match up with the show. Actually, I can match them up exactly except McCoy's.

Actually, McCoy's seems to be the easiest one to get together...
BTW, Toys City is releasing two sets of carded SS ceremonial (black) uniforms. You might want to look into those.

Pitch forks? That's a bit uncalled for. Pitch forks implies anger and hostility. What I was suggesting is to let the people who want to get their money back ask for it.

I shouldn't have quoted you spencer, my bad. But your post seems to be a reaction to everyone getting angsty. People are dropping comments in their posts that make it sound like chris has taken their money, and has no plans to work on this project. Little things like 'if these heads ever get made'. Has it really come to that? To question chris like this? Again, has anyone PM'd him?

He just came through with House - that's out of the way. His terminator sarah conner chronicles heads are almost done with. Doesn't that encourage a little faith to be given from the people in on this?

I don't think any of us is questioning Howe's ethics, but I do believe the main feeling is of frustration at not getting any real updates.
Yes, Chris has told us he is very busy at the moment. But that's about it.
No idea on when we might expect any of the commissioned sculpts. And we all know he's already behind schedule on all of them (please do correct me if I'm wrong).
Now that these SFM sculpts are becoming available, it presents a real problem for everyone involved.
What if a lot of people who were committed to buying Howe's sculpts but hadn't paid yet decide to go with SFM's sculpts? What if the number of people who are still committed to Howe's sculpts just doesn't justify making them anymore?
It's not a far-fetched scenario.

As for sending PM's, his box is full, and I have sent him a very polite mail asking him about updates and realistic ETA's for the Star Trek trio and the RE Milla sculpts.
That was last week and he hasn't answered.

Now, I'm not bashing Chris. I hardly "know" him from just a couple of PM's, so I really can't say much about him. I really want to honor my deal with him, but it is very frustrating to see how after months there's nothing to show for the money sent, while on the other hand suits and accessories are close to ready, and the possibility of fantastic sculpts is around the corner.

And still no word from Chris.

So yeah, I think it would be nice to hear from Chris "you know what? the sculpts are still a ways off, if you want your money back to pursue the SFM stuff, go for it".
Milla sculpts are also surfacing and a lot of people are buying those. Will that also hurt the Milla commissions?
I'm still waiting to see if I can get a Chris Howe Milla. But how long will that be?

I just don't understand why he's ignoring this thread so completely. It's been 2 months since his last post here. Now I understand that things can get in the way, but he originally said that all three heads would be done by mid March, and at this point we have no indication that anything has been done AND no communication. That makes people a little nervous. I'm not saying that he's going to run off with people's money or anything. Just that a little update would go a long way to making people feel better.

Yes, Yes, I ordered those already. They should be available by the 29th which I doubt. But they are perfect. When I was in China, I thought I had everything correct with McCoy, I thought he just worn a grey uniform, top to bottom. When I watched the show again, I found out he had a lighter grey jacket, and a deeper grey cap and pants. I can only find lighter grey cap. If you have any idea where I can find them, please let me know. Note: the cap is the major problem.

In regards to Chris, please have faith in our project. I don't think he will ignore us. I dealt with "Artists" before. They do some strange things and this is why they can be artists. Oh, I remember Chris used to have a Skype number. Maybe some of you can call him. Nevertheless, don't get frustrated, gentlemen. Things will come together! Don't let this post becomes a "shooting range"!

Your best bet is to look through loose uniforms in places like monkeydepot or war-toys.
Germans had lots of variations in their uniforms during WWII...

You might also want to look for info at the Sixth Division forum or the OSW, both places have people with lots of info on WWII militaria.

Cheers!

Ironman, I'm one of those who PM'd you various times trying to see if those SFM sculpts are available, so I'm totally in for the two spocks and anything else the sculptors release. (already posted in other thread.)

also, I remember that guy who built the 1/6 bridge -- he actually gave it away to somebody within driving distance. Twelve hour drive for me, but I really had to think about i t...

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. People are mainly reluctant to commit to Spock because they don't know if the rest of the sculpts will be forthcoming. I wouldn't expect complaints if they released them all.
My "rant" comment was for someone having to pay $300 instead of $50. I was told that if the Spock sells well enough that it seems viable to continue, then the rest of the crew would be coming, all on a limited run basis.

I remember you. I've been a bit backlogged.. I need to go back into all my files from when I was first trying to help get these produced and see if any of the other folks who were interested then, still are.
And yes, he gave that first bridge away as he was making a newer, better one for himself. He gave me first crack at it. But, unfortunately, it was too far to drive and the $300 shipping quote was more than I could spare at the time. :banghead

The shiny materail was the original proposed material. You can see the prototype at my previous post. See how shiny it is compare to the other 2? If I use this material, everyone's attention will be focused to the boots when looking at the figure. It is very similar to a "Cat Suit". I don't mind my GF wearing a outfit with this material but not for my TOS. That's why I "veto" this material. The other 2 are the dull leather like materials, and I am choosing the shiny one out of these 2.

Wow, that's a big difference. I agree, the newer material looks much better.

yup, i'm with you nanjin. And yeah, I am with you... I'd have NO problem with my wife wearing the shiny stuff as a catsuit. LOL

Apparently, the 1:6 bridge guy is still around. Here's his website. https://www.deeringproductions.com/

In addition to that, In a recent post on the One Sixth Warriors forum, he said he's working on an Original Series shuttlecraft!

Yes, his site is still around, but so is Andgor's. Do you have a link to the OSW posting? If he is still around I'd love to see what he's up to.
