i dont know too much about such things but are these 2 helmets decent looking, quality and value for money wise?
not too bothered if they're not 100% screen accurate, i'm just not sure on what's good or not.

The 1st Vader helmet is a Master Replicas ROTS helmet, or a recast. They seem to describe all the features the MR version has.

The 2nd Vader helmet is a kitbash. Not accurate but not a bad looking helmet though and a bit cheaper.

thanks a lot for the info, appreciate it.
not sure i want a straight recast, hard to support that. the sith one as the helmet i liked best anyways for some reason. i'll keep an eye on the auctions.

I keep seeing the Shepperton Design Studios mentioned. I like their kit, but £500 for an OT Stormtrooper helmet seems a bit too much. How does their kit transfer?

That's because buying one is like owning the actual prop from the movie. accurate in all aspects.

Trust me, you don't want me truly explain just how wrong that statement was.
I'll just give the short version.
SDS helmets are not made from the original molds that created the ones for the original films.
SDS helmets are not accurate to the original props.
