The cylinders are from the kit, all I did was add threads and nuts to the end caps, drill slots behind the rear caps, and added some wires to the gap between the rear caps. I know I should have gone the whole way and replaced the cast capacitors too, but I'll save that for when I do a pipe build :)

Dan

You could also go for PWC cylinders (metal or resin) - they are the most accurate

Got my kit from RS Props i think it's pretty awesome and is spot on in every area from the lid to the blaster :clap

too cool !! would love to have a mannequin with that armor in the house.. but I believe my wife would finally kill me then

I confess it's me and not a mannequin and like you say they never seem to look the same on a mannequin.Unfortunately at some stage you would need to go to the toilet so standing around all day wouldn't be ideal either :impatient:

Darn. :(

There are good mannequins out there, the ones that are flexible are better than fix ones - then there are custom ones made for a specific character. Some look near perfect. An easy example for you to look at is Gino's. But there are others. It also depends if you have a robed character displayed - that helps a lot compared to a simple armor like Stormtrooper or Fett. Also the armor/suit doesn't look perfect on everyone either (people too short, too fat etc.). Then in the end it is also about what impresses person X or Y.

This might come from a game, but assembling a Sterling follows these exact steps. I did with mine back then, when I first got it, as much as deactivation allowed.

oh no doubt, it's supposed to be an accurate game ;p but the entire game is just disassembling and reassembling guns.

I have no problem with that. In fact I think it is a great way to know some of those guns, and this goes for SW fans too
