if you want accurate, you didn't have very far to go. This is pretty darn close. I could post pictures of the real movie prop if you wanted to see them.

Yes I saw that! And I would like to get one.
However this head will need a complete repaint to get it close to the details you see on a 1:1. I think is close enough, Im happy for the colors being improved and pop. The patterns on a leopard can always vary, if you know what I mean! Im ok with mine being a bit different then the exact movie one.

I'm not gonna lie when it comes to Averone's head sculpt repaint. The mouth area looks like an improvement and the quills are mandatory, but the crown edges and brow colors/patterns on his head are just not good at all. I mean it's crazy when you look at the head sculpt of this Pred 2 (not just Averone's, but any of them), then you look at the one Coolprops has done, and well, there really is no comparison. Coolprops just did it right. That bust of theirs is impeccable. It's gonna definitely outshine the Sideshow Maquette as the ultimate licensed P2 grail to own. The repainted head on the Maquette looks dark, dirty, and dusty with an overabundance of red. All the brighter colors are lost on the outer edges of the head. The brow lines still look like racing stripes. Averone is right, it would need a complete strip down and repaint of the entire head from a renowned Predator pro to look right. Damn, I still can't believe how much this costs with a paint app that needs to be re-accomplished.

No! What needs to be done? Im not sure what else to do?

I believe it's just a matter of changing the skin patterns on the brows if you wanted to go for screen accuracy, but I'm not sure what work would be involved with that or how easy or not easy it might be to do. But as was mentioned, if it's good to you that's all that matters. I was just curious.

Without having compared cool props p2 bust to screen used predator 2 head myself, I wonder if it is true to that down to the last detail. Clearly it's better than Sideshows paint-up on their maquette. However, it's comparing a 1:1 bust to a 1:4 head sculpt. The 1:1 will get more attention to detail because well... that is the focus, the head. Considering all Predator 2 items available with quality in mind I agree the cool props bust looks like it will be the better piece to own. But again, it's comparing apples and oranges in a sense. I'm not really a bust collector. I'd like full complete statues with the whole body. So the 1:4 scale is perfect to me. If cool props did a full 1:4 scale version of P2 I'd likely replace theirs with Sideshows without question lol. But as it is, Sideshow's 1:4 P2 is all there is at the moment that I'm aware of. Needless to say cool props p2 bust is impressive. If it is accurate to the movie down to the last detail I'd consider buying it for my first bust. It'd come down to price if done correctly. So far, looks great.

As far as the paint execution from Sideshow mine looks like the unmasked sculpt was blasted with heavy blacks around the eyes. It looks like soot from a chimney or something. Like you described, it looked dirty to me. The same thing happened with the 1:5 P1 they did. I can see black shades on the P2s arm too where it really should be more of a yellowish baige creme skin tone like the rest of the body.

Thank you, noted. Im going to see what I can do about that pattern on the brow. It may be a lot of work to get it exactly screen accurate but I will do my best to improve it.
Im also keen to getting the more screen accurate bust now, but again Im not a huge Pred Alien collector yet I do like my stuff to stand out in my collection.
