I'm in no hurry with PO'ing this piece. I plan to wait until it waitlists then jump on that and avoid the NRD. It may convert a few times over the next year and each time I'll cancel and re-waitlist until I see in-hand pics.

Sounds like a plan. I think I'm going to do the same thing. Except idk about rewaitlisting a bunch of times over. After you cancel it you'd jump off the list the wait listing again you'd be at the bottom. I think I'll just waitlist once.

Do you have to pay a deposit if your wait list converts? I may do the same if not. I'm bored of waiting to see how much this will cost now, seem to spend every Thursday night constantly refreshing the site only to see crappy dolls or pacific rim statues, neither of which I have any interest in. There's no guarantee it will keep converting. Wouldn't you be better ordering from a retailer with no NRD then have an easy cancel if production pieces stink?

He doesn't want to pay the NRD. And you don't have to keep checking it if you waitlist. SS will send you an email if your order converts. And if you're like me you get email on your phone. It's like getting text messages.

Yeah you're right of course, I read the above devious plans some had to get on the wait list instead of buying straight away and assumed that would avoid the deposit, I don't understand why you would do that then if it doesn't
Anyway, I'll most likely want the EX so as not to be missing parts, damn ss's ways!! so I can't buy locally. If the price is reasonable I'll just buy it direct. If it sucks and doesn't resemble the prototype I'll just kick up a stink big time until I get my NRD back. 
I have a horrible feeling the price will be a little unreasonable on this guy however so I've managed to lower my enthusiasm enough that I won't be completely upset if I have to pass... The stupid base and whacky dreads help.

Sideshow gives you a couple days anyway to respond (or is it 24 hours?) so you can accept or decline at that time.
