Well, one good thing came out of tonight's riveting discussion: at least we finally know why the mods rarely visit the A&R section nowadays. Not much of a surprise, but at this point, can you really blame a guy for trying to find the silver lining?

I'm starting to realize just how much space these arguments take up, that's for sure. Halfway-decent posts don't show up for three pages back, and I've set my board preferences to display 40 posts per page.

Where is that option located?

EDIT: Found it!

Just bought one of these from Taiwan. Obviously cost more than if i had of waited for them to be commonly released but i don't mind paying extra to get it a few months sooner as i had a few hundred £ spare floating in my paypal. (And i bought the Sideshow Classic Mask yesterday so it made sense to get them both in 1 swoop)

If there isnt a ton of pictures or any good ones by the time mine arrives ill do a bit of spamming. And what every body wants to see Classic-P1 side by side and a converted classic into a p1

:lecture:lecture:lecture:lecture
That's why I need to ignore every single post with "Butters" quote in it, unfair :monkey2

He DIED before Classic, that's why he gonna be released after... Logic :lol

Newuh was newuh will be... :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

That would be great...we need some good photos so the hating can begin... :slap

Frankly, I find most Predator-related threads chock full of tedious repetition and technically, borderline trolling from many parties. And it always comes down to the ____ing accuracy issue, and usually explicitly or implicitly some comparison between NECA and Hot Toys. :banghead

I'll stay away for a few days, then just randomly pop into a thread and what do you know? Same old ____, over and over and over again. I don't think many other mods come here at all because it just seems so tedious and overwhelming.

So the Predator threads are a free for all? Someone will seriously overstep the mark one day.

Well yeah, but how about this specific figure? Fanboy or hater?

On this figure...neither. This isn't P1 so the accuracy issues don't bother me. I actually think it looks better than how Classic looked in the film. To me this is just another Predator figure which I think will be a fun figure to own because of the various display options. My money was down for this on the week of pre-order.

What do you think the paint will be like on this figure? As bad as some are saying? You don't think the sculpt is accurate to the source material?

The paint will still be top notch but not like what we saw on the prototype. That's the main issue. I know the final product is always different from the proto but the paint on the protos head was gorgeous.

Until I have this infront of me in natural light I will never know how I feel about Classic.

Hopefully the paint will be better than on the prototypes, I doubt it wouldn't be as good...

Yep, in hand and in good light is the only real way to be able to soak in all the figures details properly. :lecture

Yeah, there's too much flash in the bad photos and the overuse of studio lighting in the professional photos. We need to wait for a shot in natural light before we start to go crazy over the paint again.:panic: :lol

It's always amusing (sometimes annoying) to see people overreacting when the first batches of photos roll in... then someone like OMG comes along and everyone starts breathing properly and loving the figure again... :lol

I hope Bakurenoh takes a decent photo... :lol

I'll admit that when I saw the first batch of photos I felt underwhelmed. That's just how the human mind works. It happens with most Predator figures I think. I remember the Berserker thread when he first showed up. You can't beat owning a figure and having it in hand, only then can you pass true judgement on the money you have just spent.
