Predators - 1/6th scale Classic Predator Collectible Figure

If I can get a HT T2 T-800 then I think this is going to be too hard to resist (I'm thinking of doing a movie shelf with the T-800, this and Babydoll)

Only thing I really don't like about this figure is the base, so I reckon I'll try and grab a generic Predators base of eBay (was looking at one that came with the Beserker last night)

I bought one from Dutch and just popped the nameplate off. Got it on ebay for $5.50. I'm not using it if you want it. If so PM me. I'm not looking to cash in on it, just trying to help someone out. But do understand it's not a "Predators" one, it does only say "Predator".


And people complaining about accuracy, do you want a beer belly Predator or something? Glad I'm gone a few months and it's the same person not letting the same thing go when I pop back in. Feels like I never left. Go start an "I don't like HT Classic Predator" thread and whine about it over there. There are some people that want to discuss the figure, pros and cons, not just get on here bashing it and flaming anyone who says anything positive about it.

I remember thinking that would be the extent of my 1/6 collecting. How wrong I was.

I wish I'd had the discipline to keep it at just those but there was never a chance. You can't have the T-800 without the T-1000, Robocop without ED-209, one incarnation of the Predator and not at least one other etc etc etc And then I decided to start buying Superheroes which are HT primary bread and butter these days.

However at 1/4 scale - definitely just Terminator, Predator, Robocop and Alien. The size and price are simply too big to go further.

Tsang seems to like making up his own vision of the character compared to other sculptors whos main aim is for complete 100% accuracy.

50% accuracy would be enough, but ssang doesn't care about it at all

I had similar thoughts as short as a month ago of having 1 creature representing its franchise as opposed to having every from one. I sold a pile of my figures. And 2 nights ago i looked at my shelf and realised ive somehow got exactly the same amount of figures (taking into account of the 2 figures ive got coming) as i had when i started selling. I must of subconsciously been buying new as i sold.

That plan went out the window.

Im also not bothered with 100% accuracy with Predator figures because the suits we see on screen are not 100% accurate to the idea of the creature in the designers mind.

Ah but its well known you're not the biggest T2 fan. I think its almost as good as T1 though and the T-1000 was a great villain.

I, for one, think that this sculpt has a lot of character and is a good representation of Winston's classic design.

Though the original HT Pred might have features that are more screen accurate, there is far too much wrong with it (especially when taking into account its ape-like proportions and squished head) for me to be satisfied with it. HT's figures have moved along, increased in proportional accuracy and have just become better when looking at the overall quality.

So baring that in mind, looking at this new classic Predator, I am more than happy. He looks way better then their original release (especially with the Bio Helmet on) and I cannot wait to display him!

I don't plan on buying any other Preds, so if I could/would just have to pick one to own...it'd be this one

I do. Why do you find it necessary to slam one religion's beliefs just to make an invalid point on a toy forum? There are several other examples you can use without insulting someone's beliefs, race or gender.
