What is different? I got one reg and one EX from sideshow.

Everybody needs to stop worrying they are getting the first batch. Only a few were made, only Taiwan had them and probably most of them already will of been bought.

Special edition and SSX (same thing different sticker) = batch 2 with the skull. Regular will be Batch 2 too.

Ugh, I arrived home to find an InfoNotice from UPS saying they missed me for the signature. According to the sheet, they're doing the logical thing: attempting to redeliver tomorrow at the exact same time. Geniuses.Biggest.Pain.In.The.Ass!

this happened to me on the 23rd of last month and I had to wait until the 26th to get my Classic pred do to Christmas eve and Christmas day. It was very painful, I consider breaking into the post office and then reminded myself that that would probably lead to numerous felonies.

Yeah I saw that. It works out £10 cheaper then SS so good deal.
Right now cheapest is ebay for £139 shipped via EMS from Hong Kong. I heard that EMS you are less likely to get VAT and customs charges then with US and Fed Ex. BUT if I do get stung then it works out same as collectables direct. Hard decision!

I've bought my Shadow Predator on collectiblesdirect, the seller answers emails quickly and it seems a cool store. You also get points for discounts . And on your 1st 3 orders use the discount DISCOUNT05 to get 5% discount .

But for Classic maybe you should try OSB, the price is £166 and it's on the UK as well. There's also only good stuff to say about OSB: onesixthbruce.co.uk .

They seem both great stores, run by good people. I've used both and have only good stuff to say. OSB packages can be dropped from a 10th floor and nothing will happen to the contents .

Beware of courier services when buying from outside the euro zone. Not sure how it is in UK, but in Portugal in those cases the customs are always paid and there are extra courier taxes, it's not worth it. Also, when using EMS sent to Portugal it's more likely to get tax then standard airmail etc.

Like I said funds is the issue so cannot pay for it in full at the moment. So that leaves out Ebay as a last option.

Was watching Predator (1) on DVD yesterday, and decided to take my Classic Pred out of the detolf to have a little bit of a comparisson. And man, I really do think that the likeness of the new Pred is better than the original HT release.

Sure, his head/face is a little sleaker and less ugly than in the film. But with the Bio on, this is really very damn close. Especially porportion-wise.

No wonder that the original Predator's prices are dropping so massively on Ebay :S

I am tempted to go for it from collectibesdirect as they got payment plan. So I can spread the cost but it would still cost $280 in total. If only the UK was not such a rip off with customs and VAT I could get it from the US for only $215 shipped!

Since the release of Classic, I've been watching all of the Predator movies.

Even just comparing the figures side by side; The new figure is just so much nicer looking and proportioned than the first release. I tend to avoid 2nd release figures if I can; but I had to jump on this new predator.

Speaking of Predator 1 movie, I not seen it in ages!
Only got the dvd as the UHE bluray is a abomination!
Might get P2 on blu however as the UK disc is meant to be decent looking.

Try 1st edition bluray. You can buy it through amazon for very low price. It has much better picture quality than UHE I'd say. At least it doesn't look as blur and clean, which kills all movie's atmosphere as that abomination. What the FOX they're thinking when they released that?

Fox did that on a few catalogue titles, Im so glad they did not mess Alien and Aliens bluray. They look fantastic!

Is the 1st edition that much of a improvement over the SE DVD upscaled?
