Ya know maybe we should just idk reboot this whole franchise so that way everybody won't be so pissed off about design's and characters and plotlines and stuff. And maybe the minority characters can actually live.

Yeah well, they did reboot. That's what Predators was. That's not going to change because they already dipped their toes in a direction, and most people didnt really enjoy that direction entirely. So they'll most likely do something different.

And mabye you havent seen Predator 2.

Yea i know it was danny glover. They should be alittle stronger and they should atleast stop with the stupid suit's. This is a new age now and the preds should be in cgi most of the time so they can stop being so clunky.

Funny you say that, i like twilight too. The first movie i thought was good and i have read all the books.

I dont remeber avatar literally being everywhere. Twilight just doesn't seem like as good as any of those movies but thats just me. It just seems like a phase.

So please Wez, go watch movies older then 1997, and learn that technology does not make a movie good. So CGI would not have improved Predators in any way shape or from. The script would've been the same, everything would be the same.

Dude some movies with a little technology have turned out to be good. Imagine a predator flipping through trees and jumping on a helicopter 40 feet in the air and taking it down. Imagine an actual flexible predator. But you cant becuase your stuck in the golden age of movie's. I was brought up in the age of cg so i thought movies like jurassic park and spiderman and transformers 1 were good. Even though its not completly cgi it still would suck without it.

And i just like the first twilight. The franchise in general sucks.

I was born in 1991...but my parents raised me on old school films. Alien, Die Hard, Aliens, Predator, Terminator...the works. Which showed me that films, at their most basic form, does not NEED effects to work. Jurassic Park, dispite the dinos, could honestly work without them. The characters and story are strong enough to move along without a pretty CGI dino running about.

If through out Predator, all you thought of was "OMGZ WILL DE PREDATOR RUN AND JUMP 40 FEET AND TAKESZ DOWN A HEEELLICOPTER!" then you really dont want to watch a movie. You want to play a video game.

I'll admit, it would be cool to see a Predator do some cool ____...but why spend all that money to make it look fake? Why not do it for real? Or even attempt it.

Yeah, the suits were clunky...and that's a shame...but some studios cant do the suits as well as the others. But atleast they're keeping that spirit alive. And that's whats important for our generation.

Special Effects are over used today. I'm so happy a film like Inception (it did have effects, great ones too...but it was done in a way that didnt feel slapped on), a movie that makes you care about the characters, and the story, with great acting and a great script.

Unlike Avatar. Which was good...but really lacking in the script department.

Weird. Yea but it was technology that made those movie's good it was technology that made the alien move and the lightsabers light up. If they put tin foil on the lightsabers then it wouldnt be as fun now wouldnt it. I'm not saying that all movies are good withcgi but a movie franchise like predator needs somthing other suits and clunky spining around. Seriously i wanna see a pred run and drop kick sombody in the face not get in a 2sec sword fight.

I don't think you need CGI predators, you just need better people inhabiting the suit. Kevin Peter Hall did amazing things while in those suits, and the only guy to come close and make it not feel like a guy in a suit since KPH has been Ian Whyte (AVP-R).

Side note: they did a bit of cgi agility with wolf in Requiem, which was actually kinda cool, seeing him jumping around in that power plant. But then again Predator had some nice agility scenes without cg.

Those movies are hardly old school. When i think of old school i think of Murnau etc..Also most of the movies you mentioned are full of effects.

No, Jurassic park is pretty poorly written, the characters are ok but only because they are played by good actors.

Haven't seen Inception but i think Nolan is a pretty poor director and very overrated. All his so called original ideas come from other movies (dreamscape=inception), inception is not original!

I think Avatar's script is good for what it is; the message should be in your face and speak to everyone. A more complex script wouldn't really suit the idea of the movie.

Yea but this one didnt. They were so clunky and all that. Wolf was awesome in cg i agree. But i wanna see preds doing flips and showing off thier abilitys more. Instead of just walking and shooting at a slow pace.

Seriously though I think CGI is way overused in most movies today. I think a costumed actor and practical effects are usually far more effective for the most than CGI. I would have much prefered a puppet Yoda for EPs 2 and 3 and only use CG for the fight scenes.

yes l am tired of all this CG crap also. what was great about pred 1 was there really was no CG for the most part. real explosions and stunt guys flying threw the air on fire. an other example, the first fast and furious movie, awesome, really no CG real cars racing and being jumped. then in the other fast and furious movies they are computer cars sliding around corners. cant stand that crap. but it will just get worse with time. CGI and 3D will be the new thing. and that is the time when l will stop watching movies. cant stand that 3D sheitt. and refuse to back that stuff into my home. this is my rant.
