One I forgot about, but they don't seem very active any more is ACI, who are also 7Toys7, Wild Toys and Pangaea.

You mean the retailers pay the 'companies' directly, or is there a distributor sitting between them that handles the business?

The actual 1/6 production world in China is supposedly relatively small and incestuous.

There are only so many factories that can produce parts. So most of them are all coming out of the same 2-3 factories. Like, there's one that outputs all the hard plastic parts, there's another that does clothing, and there might be a third that paints the plastic pieces, and typically that last factory will be the assembly. The differences you see between brands/manufacturers is largely just creative direction rather than any sort of technical superiority on the part of the production facility.

When I was in the industry, 'our' factory, also did stuff for DAM, Kaustic Plastik, and Blitzway.

That might also explain how these 'companies', or 'creative directors' seem to know what each other are doing, and try to beat each other to market with the same subject matter - if the same few factories are receiving the designs from all of them.

Looks like they used two different bodies for this figure. Note the arm joint.

I don’t get the feeling this is a Dam/VTS side project due to the leather quality. I feel like the wasteland ranger they put out had more realistic leather

maybe for mass produced item. smaller companies usually have a run of 200-500 and it takes them 2 years from proto to release. so they may be doing the recasting themselves or sub it to small time producers than these big factories. because they would have to wait for their turn if there is only a few factories and they will have little say about their qualities since the factories are always busy.

How funny that we have all these third party companies coming out the wood work, yet only until now have they started to do Road Warrior Max. Lol better late then never I guess though I hope the quality of these releases are better once out. This company has a lot of potential assuming this figure turns out very good and better in hand.

Well Justin just confirmed that In-Famous is actually Toys Era... so there's another for the list.

Yeah, if production matches prototype, this will be the one for me. But I can't justify pre-ordering just yet. Nothing to go on with this company.

Seriously thinking about getting this figure. If they make the jacket of this figure with two sleeves and without weathering, it would be the perfect replacement jacket voor the Hot Toys MMS238 battle damaged Terminator if it starts to flake. It's the same jacket. If they are smart they could make some bucks selling them.

The poll's been up for five hours. Max has 23 votes.

The current leader is Indiana Jones with 52, then Willem Defoe with 37.

I would love to see a Max sculpt done. But one reason it might not go down is Indiana jones being one of the runner ups. I love Indy for sure more so then Max, and would love to see what is done. But since I already have an amazing Indy sculpt made by the masterful Buffy..I think a Mad Max sculpt is more needed as of now.

I'd rather have Max too, with these new figures just announced.

Hopefully Kit means that any that reach 200 votes will go into production, otherwise I see Indy running away with it and leaving no chance for Max.

Though it depends when he closes the poll, otherwise Rocco will be indentured to Kit and compelled to make a sculpt every time it hits 200, as people keep adding names to the list. lol

I hope That's the case also besides it doesn't hurt if one goes into production first followed by who ever got second. Lol It would also be cool to see two different sculpts made one clean and the other battle damaged with the red eye and scar on his forehead.
