So here is my Max! I was completely underwhelmed when I opened this one up to be honest to the point I boxed him away with the intention to sell him on. After a few days I decided to have another look I then realised I may be able to salvage him.
My Mods included:
Cut away at the torso so the arms were closer to the body
Added the bandages and painted blood to them and the sculpt
Lowered the jacket zipper and glued it open as I felt it was done up to much
base was made by myself
hoping to one day upgrade the sculpt but until then I’m very happy with him!

It's a big improvement. As long as you're happy with him, that's all that matters.
Opening the jacket out is something I was thinking of, and it
does add a lot to the look.
I was so disappointed with him on unboxing as well, that I thought I would just consign him to a high shelf and forget about him. Getting him to a point where I could bear to look at him again felt like a massive achievement. The urge to set fire to him immediately went away.
It's also a bit late now, because you've already worked on him and glued the jacket, but a shorter body would've taken him to another level and made the proportions of the clothing work better.
I didn't understand why his shirt was untucked out of the box, until I realised that they'd designed the clothes for a Mel sized body, and then changed to bigger, taller body for production. The shirt was simply untucked to mask the discrepancy.
The prototype had correct proportions. i.e., jacket and trousers, and kneepad/boot gap.
Ordinarily I'd put it down to the prototype being photos of someone's custom figure, which would be borne out by the tiny production sculpt being a recast of said custom.
Yet, early on it was believed that this was an original sculpt and figure. Premier is a mystery, and the suspense for how Immortan Joe will turn out is one that I hope will soon be resolved. But not soon enough that they rush the figure out!
