i think i'm gonna be in the small group of folk that had no problem with this at all...i slipped the mask easily by applying a little pressure by slightly bending it like a taco shell and sliding it up the face like denny suggested...i'm happy with my purchase...now to get Robbie's Gurney and ths pop culture icon can waste in my shelf-y hell!!!...:)
 
Sorry to hear that Denny is frustrated about all this from Magnus's post. But in the past, complaints seemed most focused on what Denny showed off on the prototype (which people frequently disagree with), not on the finished product. So, this is a new thing.

I'm sorry he's annoyed with it, but putting aside differences between proto and final product, I really hate that we have to force the mask on like this and risk paint damage on the head. That's really my main concern at the moment. If it can't be adjusted, then it should have more give.
 
I'm spending a little more time messing around with this fig to really marinate on this before I share my thoughts.


Its good to have a back up plan. I plan to keep the mask on my iminime sculpt for good.

SPeaking of which, any more word from Tom, Mike?


No broski, nothing new since the last WIPs that we saw. I'm sure we'll hear something soon though

I'm sorry he's annoyed too. Denny's been nothing but a great and stand up guy with us all. Superb communication! So when I read the refund thing I was just taken back a bit. I just think hes frustrated with the overwhelming workload but thats just me guessing.

He has contacted me back and I will be getting my replacement head.

Like I said I'll just doctor up the rest on my end. This figure is still grail worthy when its all said and done and "YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!"

english isnt my mother tongue.
but in some ways. i was upset about your emails disrespecting.

threathening go to this forum things,

i am not afraid of talking about it in open space.
if i am wrong, i will take it and try to solve it
but i got hurt and upset disrespecting emails at first

i do not want to open all the things. but it seemed you already did now

talk later.

I didnt reply you soon since then, we have time differences and I had few meetings of mine. sometimes I reply next day.

Darth Magnus is one of the most stand up great guys and we all know Denny is as well, its normal to be disappointed when you spend alot of money and it;s not what you expect but it's also normal to be frustrated when customers are not satisfied. Tough business.

It's all good though, flaws aside I have all the ingredients to make a grail figure that is sorely absent from my collection so I'm grateful for that... But I too have my share of disappointments.. room for improvement!

I just said I didn't want to go on the forum and start to complain about the things that were wrong with my figure. I'm glad we have it sorted out now. If I offended you I'm sorry, I never meant any disrespect and will still purchase from your company in the future. Just needed to air out my thoughts after our messages.

it's 7:11 AM and I got up 4:00 AM working.
the first thing I do is reading and chatting overseas customers.
then wash and goto office and have meeting if I have new things to talk with my team.

this lecter is new thing and I am considering to dolve the problem.

for customers bought dr.lecter.
I would love to offer 50$ discount(including a little compensation) on future purchase

I will give 50 points to each account at iminime in few days.
with this experience, I will do extra care on finsl production.

the body is the same one we used in promo photos. cant be different.
anyway, not all customers send me complaints.
i had good feedbacks too

but I wanna mske all happy as they spent a lot and they deserve it and cared.

as a Korean, we do not say disrepect word or threthen directly, it maybe culture difference.
i perhaps need to study more for various cultures so I dont get upset.

Denny please note how highly the collecting community thinks of you, we are lucky to have you and I'm sure that even in the nitpicking and complaing (I know I do a fair share myself) but no one means personal disrespect to you or your fine team of artists. That's so very kind of you to offer the 50 dollar credit and I for one really appreciate it as you know I've bought the majority of iminime figures and I appreciate the great way you handle your customers.

As I've said before keep your chin up, thanks for the care and keep striving for perfection, I for one admire that passion.

I feel so bad for making you upset. It was never my intention. More a miscommunication between language barriers and I'm glad its been sorted out. You guys do great work which I will continue to support. I was just underwhelmed with this release.
 
next time I will make sure i put the necessary instruction print.
as we know how to do it well. but didnt think of it. sorry about it

I was too busy recently and had many outside meetings,I should have checked all on my own before shipping out.
the painting is a bit dark comparing to original.
it is because the basic resin color had a very tiny difference. you cant really catch it well.
i checked paintings and looked ok although it's a bit darker than promo.
we had two promos, one was from original then rainman modified it again. means we had two painting samples and sometimes the color from photo makes it wrong.
we are preparing new camera this month. not a very good one but enough to use. much better than current one.
so it will be better to show details morw.

re: strab
I searched it myselt wondering markets, but there wasnt one. ( that's why I recently hired a helper in hk to find right material when we dont have one in korea)
I asked yesterday my staff who managed the mask, he said a little strenth pulling the strab while the strab is being put through the neck makes no difficult. but I guess, customers can feel differently
I will teach staff today for a lesson about it
not all customers can do what my staff do. and telling them we have to consider as if we buy it first time in life.

I'm glad that got sorted quickly. Denny you're the man and Mags is too! Both of you guys are pillars in the community in your own ways.

I'm sure Americans can sometimes speak to each other in a way that may seem rude to Asians and there are also things that Asians sometimes do that may seem rude to Americans. It's definitely a cultural misunderstanding; it's sometimes hard for people to understand those kinds of differences :peace

Well as always Denny you are awesome. Thanks for offering the Lecter buyers that $50 credit. That's incredibly awesome of you and we all know how hard you work to satisfy us!
 
Well there were still good points that mightq & Mags brought up that I wanted to embellish on because I think that it is important to air out, but no time; gonna have to wait till tomorrow.

No time for my full thoughts on the fig either but I want to post that and pics tomorrow too.


For today, I'll say that I don't know what's going on with the mask but I had no problem whatsoever getting it on or off. I can take it on or off in under 10 seconds. I don't know if our straps are different sizes or not but the mask is not hard resin. It is a hard plastic but has some play. You have to give it a little pinch on the sides and that will help it easily clear the nose. Same method will assist while adjusting the straps. I'd like it if the top strap was able to be pulled back a bit more but you can get it pretty far past the hairline where it'll sit tight.
