K guys third opinion here... Mask is a mess! There's NO way I'm gonna scrape off my paint job by forcing this thing over his head, it has no give. I'm going to have to remove the straps and create some sort of clasp system on custom leather straps :(

As its been said the mask turned out really crappy looking also. :( ah... This is gonna need SO much work :(

That sucks. Its the only reason Im getting this figure. I wasnt crazy about the mouth on the sculpt so I was just going to keep it covered. Oh well. Wait and see.

You and I will obviously find ways to make it happen and look good with a bunch of work, Robbie I wouldn't worry it's the poor guys who have no custom or mod skills that are gonna get the short end of the stick here :(

It's giving me a doll like vibe straight out of the box but the good news is I think all of the ingredients are here it's just a matter of the right part sourcing, weathering, finding the right body, futzing, padding etc. gonna be a loooooong project

I like the heads and paint jobs jumpsuits are quite nice, body and fatsuit is just not quite right for his build... To the body bin!

Man this is beyond disappointing. The only reason why I got the orange suit was to put the mask on

Do you guys feel like the mask is different (aside from the lack of weathering) from the promos? It must be, right? How does it fit well in those pics and seem to hug the temple area better than it does in Kara's pics?

Just opened mine.

Shoes are ****, they are HUGE. The mask wasn't THAT difficult to get on. I just used a little force to get the mask to clear over the nose. Mine had just enough play in it. Also the top strap hugs the head a lot better than in Kara's pic on my figure. I think he just didn't mess with it much. I'll post a picture tomorrow. Can't wait to see what Rob and Ray do to this guy.

I'm amazed with this paint job. My first iminime paint and wow, I'm sold! Overall I'm happy with this purchase. Some issues (shoes, mask detail, body)with it but it's still a nice figure out of the box IMO. Stoked for Bateman.

Cool, that's a little reassuring. As long as the mask fits like the promo then I'm good. Still really not happy about the weathering issue though.

Congrats on your first Iminime piece! :hi5: Their paint never disappoints and is consistently outstanding; definitely their strong point.

I've always understood that providing quality shoes were just outside of their resources. I changed the shoes on every Iminime fig so far and I've went into each purchase knowing and accepting that I'd have to. Im sure that when the 3D modeler starts they will be able to provide better and more accurate shoes with every set.

HI guys,

Here is the thing.

We have tried many times to put on mask on the head.

With extra care, you could do the same as we do.

But please note that the greenish color on the mask could stain on nose(Because we also painted all inside) but you could remove it carefully by rubbing with a knife.

Thanks

Denny

I didn't want you to toss and turn all night thinking of an ill fitting mask. :lol

Just be really careful bud, I could have probably fit the mask too but the truth is I didnt want to, I didn't want to ruin the beautiful paint job you mentioned, since its hand painted and not factory there's always a chance that the plastic mask can rub the paint right off resin.

Im gonna have to concut a safer bet.

For now though i just messed around with bodies. still far from done but I landed on Regular TrueType bottom half/legs with red skull/Luke upper half and neck plug and regular iminime fatsuit unmodded (so far, might need a bit more padding in the midsection, gonna have to wagch the movie again... Straight jacket version uses this recipie too. It just makes his body proportionate all over and shortens his giraffe neck. Other then that the mask is gonna need new straps and weathering and the straitjacket is gonna need weathering. And of course Robbie's gurney...

This is unfutzed... straghtjacket would need a lot of futzing

The straightjacket looks pretty weird especially on the stock body and the fatsuit only makes it worse I didnt take a pic of that but i took this scary looking pic right out of the box, it shows the flaws pretty well I'd say.

Man that sucks Robbie :(

I tried futzing the head strap on mine and I really couldn't get it to fit any better. I'm glad others may not have this problem though. The bulky fat suit (bulks up the shoulders apparently) does make the straight jacket fit oddly.

No gripes about the paintjob being too dark? My Lecter looks like hes played by Antonio Hopkins! Or maybe he spent too much time at the tanning booth in Baltimore! This piece is gonna needs lots of love!

I literally LOL'ed at Antonio Hopkins.

Do you mean remove the paint from the inside of the mask? Wish I would have been told that BEFORE putting his mask on.... :impatient: You should have really included some sort of instructions or at least a warning. :lol
