Isn't that the state of brotherly love?

Ironic aint it? I welcome other views besides mine but personal attacks about Obama being Muslim and such is wrong. One guy when asked if Obama was American said "I don't know what he is." I mean, you may not like him because of his associations and policies, but the man is American.

You didn't misunderstand it and I stand by it. You posted it because of what the republicans standing in line are yelling out. What other reason or point were you trying to illustrate?

...

Do you know me? You sure like to make assumptions. I have never been anything but civil to anyone here...just ask Mesa. I don't appreciate these perosnal assumptions.

I think he truly wants to help the country and has it's best interests at heart. I just totally disagree with his direction.

:lecture Thank you! This is the kind of discourse I appreciate. Politics aside, personal attacks, beit to Obama or his supproters cross the line. I would never condone attacks from either side of the aisle.

It's not an assumption or an attack against you. But the intent of the post is obvious. If there were two sides to the story in that video it would be a different. There isn't, and the video only illustrates one thing. If the video is being posted, it's being posted to illustrate something, that's not really an assumption.

Does it matter? A horrible, disgusting thing to say is still a horrible thing even if the other side says them too, right?

It's just sad that some people honestly think Obama is a Muslim terrorist busing around loads of homeless people from state to state.

I hoped more people would feel this way, bro.

I'll contact the youtube video maker at once...and inform him or her it was too one-sided. Look, I saw it on a forum and posted it. Simple eh? Yes, there are two sides to every story. This isn't Vantage Point. I do not have multiple angles of the same scene to reveal different perspectives each time in an incoherent manner starring the guy from Lost and Forrest Whitaker.

You are reading way too much into intent. I posted it because I saw it and wanted to get other views on the matter. Your view that "there are two sides to every story" is understandable and I agree. It is when you said that "doesn't matter to me" is where I believe you assumed things about me you don't know. Oh and one more thing, I am a Republican! Well, I guess I am a Obamacan now...

Okleey dokleey then, here we go:

Florida congressman points to Palin to rally Jews to Obama

From CNN Associate Producer Martina Stewart

(CNN) – Impeached Federal judge and Democratic House Leader Alcee Hastings told an audience of Jewish Democrats Wednesday that they should be wary of Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin because “anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks.”

“If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention,” Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida said at a panel about the shared agenda of Jewish and African-American Democrats Wednesday. Hastings, who is African-American, was explaining what he intended to tell his Jewish constituents about the presidential race. “Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through,” Hastings added as the room erupted in laughter and applause.

You can contact them if you like, however it is a video on a video site so not sure you'd have much luck. You'd probably fare better contacting the person that uploaded the video on the site and let them know you don't agree with them uploading trash like that.

My reading into the intent I'll stand by. It's only showing one thing and demonizing one side. If that's your intent or not, it is without question the videos intent, which will follow it wherever it is shown. I will apologize for assuming that it doesn't matter to you, but when you've posted two links in the last few pages, one to illustrate repbulican hypocrisy, and the other showing vile spitting rebublicans I assumed and apologize if I'm wrong.

This is just as bad as when that one Dem said the only qualification Palin has for VP is she never had an abortion. Seriously are there any people out there who want to have mature discourse about politics without resorting to these dumb and ignorant remarks? I am embarassed for both sides.

Sounds like ignorant ^^^^^^^ racism to me.

Thanks. I am an Obamacan (Republican for Obama) and yes, I am tired of my party's hypocrisy. Read the other post with the Daily Show video. I said hypocrisy "is on both sides." My posts are slanted left, because I am an Obama supporter. But never would I want to assume things on either side and have MANY friends and family who support McCain. I hope that I am one of the more civil posters on here, even with my strong opinions.

Agreed. That's a disgusting thing to say.

I don't see how posting a video that shows how hateful one side can be is in itself - hateful. Heck, posting videos is our main form of political debate.

And the story about Hastings is terrible - reminds of the Alaskan interviewed by the Daily Show during the VP debate. He said he'd "asked all the colored people he knew if they'd vote for Obama. They both said 'no'."
