You guys are right, either side cannot afford to lower themselves to bashing an entire group of people. Responding that way is just as bad as the video itself...

We have to rise above this pointless bickering and discuss things like rational beings.

What a novel idea!

Once again I agree completely. :duff

Why can't the rest of the country be like us? :D

Riddle me this - if whites voted 90% for the Republican candidate it would be racism.......... why isn't it racism that 90% african americans support Obama ? Seems to me some black folks can't bring themselves to vote for a white guy.

Taxing companies and business owners to give money to poor people is precisely the way to "fix" the economy. HAHA.

Barack Obama won’t wear an American flag on his lapel, but on the wall of his Houston campaign office: 2 Cuban flags with a picture of Communist mass murderer Che Guevara. Reportedly put up by "volunteers" and not the official staff.

What did Obama have to say about it?

He didn't insist it come down.

He didn't denounce it as "insensitive" or "sickening" or "an emblem of evil."

He simply dismissed it as "inappropriate."

Inappropriate?

"Inappropriate" is when somebody tells an off-color joke.

"Inappropriate" is when a campaign worker passes gas in the office.

"Inappropriate" is when someone tells you the three people they most fear in life are Osama, Obama and Chelsea's Mama.

Displaying an image of Che Guevara as if he were some kind of Third World hero is an abomination. Check that, it's an Obama-nation.

Maybe Obama is just too young and inexperienced to know who Che really was. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt along with this refresher course.

Guevara was born in Argentina in 1928 and originally trained to become a doctor at the University of Buenos Aires. In 1952, he embarked on the trip dramatized in "The Motorcycle Diaries" across South America. After returning to Buenos Aires to complete his medical degree, Guevara set off again to travel through the Americas. He participated in leftist movements in Guatemala and Mexico and became acquainted with Cuban expatriates in those countries. He joined Castro's revolutionary Cuban Army in 1956 as a top commander and Castro's personal physician. He helped Castro topple the regime in Havana in 1959.

As Castro's right-hand man in the new regime, Guevara ordered the execution of hundreds of people while in charge of the notorious La Caba, a prison in Havana. He was unapologetic about the mass killings of innocent people, explaining, "To send men to the firing squad, judicial proof is unnecessary. These procedures are an archaic bourgeois detail. This is a revolution! And a revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate."

Motivated by pure hate, and note the peace sign in the above picture. At least it was placed next to the American flag.

Hmm...why do leftist whack jobs continue to be attracted to Obama?
They must see something they like.

These people should have their voting license revoked.

And... there's the rub. The elitist mentality that only those who agree with me should even be allowed to vote. Just revoke our citizenship completely (which is, essentially, what you are advocating by calling for the revocation of voting rights, since you apparently didn't know that). Maybe you'd prefer to see the evil conservatives relegated to worker farms, perhaps?

Look who just filled out a voter registration card in Ohio.

I hear a lot of "I'm not voting for a black man (the PC term which isn't used) to president" or "I"m not voting for a terrorist!"

It's sad, so sad. Democrats don't think Republicans or I should say McCain supporters are wrong they are kind of hmmm...let me try not to step on any toes here...

Close minded. Oblivious to the facts. The same people that voted for Bush who in part got us into the mess we are in. Then they are going out to support and vote for a guy that will just get us in deeper. These people should have their voting license revoked.

If you hear so much of "I'm not voting for a black man, then why is he ahead in the polls? Why are most expecting him to be president, it the racism is as rampant as you say it is.

And what do you mean Dems aren't telling Repubs they are wrong. I read about it everyday on here. When I post a response on here, I almost always back it up with a link and all your side on here can say is, "must of come from some right wing site". ANd you say close minded, oblivious to the facts. Facts seem to me that Obama is going to be a horrible president. Oblivious to me is people who say his tax policy is not going to affect them, when in all reality simple economics mandates that when a corporations costs go up they raise prices on their goods to offset it.

Oblivious to me is people who think Obama tax plan for small business won't affect them. Again, simple economics. When a small business' operating capital goes up, they in turn must make up for that money. They also raise their prices, but on top of that cut benefits, smaller raises, less expansion.

Again you want to blame Bush, even though all the major news outlets have reported how the Republican party tried to reel in the banking industry that gave out bad loans that the Democratic party pushed for. I wont even address my right to vote.

Did you see in the last two debates McCain didn't wear an American flag pin but Obama did? Obviously McCain's big secret is out - he's commie who hates America! He might even be a terrorist. Who is the real John Sydney McCain III? *shifty eyes*

https://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/US/P/00/epolls.0.html

They voted for: Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry OVERWHELMINGLY.

African Americans always overwhelmingly support the Democrat. Even John Kerry, who got his butt kicked in 2004, got 88% of the African American vote. So...

One thing is sure, there is no true way to determine how much race will play a factor.

While I do agree that criticism of a candidate over the choice to wear (or not wear) a flag pin is a trifle shallow, I do find Obama's choice to wear one in the debates as a bit shallow in and of itself. It wasn't important to him before, but suddenly it is? That's just a politician being a politician.

But with all that aside, don't you think there is more substance to the article that was quoted than the flag pin issue? This is an official Obama campaign office, and they are displaying flags and images that not only have nothing to do with the election or campaign, but represent individuals and nations diametrically opposed to ANY American values, conservative or liberal.

Were I a candidate, and I learned that such an action had taken place, I would respond swiftly and decisively. The banners would be removed, and the people responsible dismissed. Has Obama done this? Apparently not.
