Indirectly, yes.

Wrong.

See, what both sides don't understand is that they are both (Conservative Republicans and Liberal Democrats) responsible for the current state of the economy and neither side (with their myopic vision) has the solution to cure it.

Conservatives think the key to a healthy economy is through breaks and tax-cuts for corporations in order to stimulate the economy. Liberals think the answer is in tax hikes and income redistrubution. Neither of these truly work in a free market economy, and never will.

You see, as modern Americans we simply lack the conviction, strength and will-power to meet in the middle and let the economy work itself out. Instead, every 8-12 years or so we feel the need to swing the pendelum in the opposite direction in order to "fix" the problem. Instead, we end up putting a temporary (2-12 year) cure but the problem still exists. It's like picking a scab and never allowing it to fully heal.

Neither of these candidates has any answers that will fix any of this. Don't kid yourself.

I'm willing to take bets that Obama fails miserably when pressed on how he is going to fix our current situation.

I'll put my SSW Pippin bust on it.

Let's just hope this thread can stay unlocked for the next 2.5 hours, and I'm not willing to wager on that.

McCain supporters better hope he does good cause his poll #'s are sinking fast.

Sometimes it feels like there are two sides--people who will vote for McCain because he isn't black, and people who worship Obama for his ability to walk on water before turning it into wine.

i got some mighty muggs that mccain chokes!

I'll raise you a

that Obama has a difficult time answering hard questions. I also fully expect him to just find fault with McCain's answers and not really providing any of his own. But like I said, we'll just have to see.

The debate can't really stay on foreign policy though, right? It is going to HAVE to deal with the economy.

It will and at the moment when it does McCain will be seen running for the door. He knows nothing about the economy and will do whatever he can not to talk about it.

To answer both questions....because we're Americans, and we can vote for whoever the hell we want! AMERICA ^^^^ YEAH!
