The thing is with Clinton he'll pay for his lack of morals and being faithful when his time comes. In the mean time the country was in a surplus and was on the right track. I'll take the way Bill ran things over the way Bush has run things or the way McCain will run things.

Clinton was in the right place at the right time (Reagan's trickle-down economy). Apart from looking good because of that, he was a sad joke of a President (yes, just like Bush).

And what's with McCain getting lumped in with Bush all of the time? Their voting records have become little more than a media tag-line (like "WMD"s). I think the issues voted on should be examined more than the percentages.

I can still remember when McCain was despised by many far-right wingists because he was such a bi-partisan guy, and the only true reason he has found acceptance with that same group is because he's their only hope against the worst Presidential candidate in history.

Reaganomics never worked and won't work. Things just don't trickle down the way the folks who believe Regan was a god want to make you believe.

Its an issue cause he sold himself out to get his parties nomination. He started siding with Bush cause you know he was told if you want a shot you better.

I don't think you're even close to being right about Reaganomics, but your opinion isn't an unpopular one.

JFK's horrid legacy was saved by assassination (that isn't in any way making light of the incident, but it's true).

Meanwhile Clinton has "his economy" and the "impossibility" of Reaganomics.

However the second part really baffles me. You and I both know that being more like Bush wouldn't help anyone at this point, and the Republicans are fully aware of that.

He got the nomination because the most inexperienced and liberal candidate in history started gaining popularity. They knew that your Romneys and Huckabees would never cut it against him, so McCain was their only real shot after the mess Bush has made of the party.

Granted, it's really all the Obama media has to throw at the man, but it's weak regardless. I just wish they would equally explore both of the candidates' associations and see which one comes out looking like a champ.

oh hey barbelith's back..haha how was the vacation?

It was great - thanks for asking!

it becomes bad when your elite is a celebrity

I find this to be a distraction. Einstein is a celebrity and was in his own lifetime as well. Does that diminish his genius in any way? Of course not.

when this elite has a 97% voting record with his own party (how is that good for ALL the american people).

But look at McCain's record - also above 90% voting in line with Bush. We've given neocon ideas a try and they have been an abysmal failure.

so for the record Bidens up 2 on Palin

The difference for me is that Biden is an obviously knowledgeable man with a propensity for verbal gaffes while Palin clearly knows almost nothing about anything outside of Alaska. It's shocking that even radicals in her own party are taking her seriously, let alone that she's been put forward as an actual candidate.

I think the republican party is starting to cringe now when Palin does something, anything..

its about time the republican cringing caught up to the rest of the planet.

Don't get me wrong - she's a brilliant politician. She has to be, because she has no actual substance or intellect to run on. That's what Clinton was referring to in your links.

I thought we were talking about Palin, why did you drag Obamessiah into the conversation?

Oh , and if you're wondering why slick Willy speaks so glowingly about Palin and McCain and just can't quite bring himself to say the same things about Obamessiah....it's because he hates the little weasel and he knows his wife's 2012 presidential dream's will go up in smoke should that idiot win the election in Nov. Bill may be sleazy [which is probably why he hates Obamessiah...they're too much alike] but he's not stupid.

While I think it is funny that she did the same thing McCain criticized Obama for, saying it to someone in a restaurant is different than saying it on National TV.

:rotfl That's a good one! Well it must be true if Michael Rovito says it is..... :lolPlease feel free to supply the audio/video of that conversation...oh it doesn't exist...yeah that's what I thought. Typical left wing media reporting...if you don't have a story...make one up

No, professional, unbiased, ethical journalism isn't quite dead yet, though it is on life support.

Unfortunately, the unethical, biased, journalism/propoganda used by the mainstream left wing media is thriving. Need proof?

Seriously, how stupid can someone be to actually believe this type of garbage. We're supposed to believe a total stranger just walked up to Palin, as if that would even be possible with her security detail right there, and gets her to start discussing foreign policy. And how convenient...no audio or video of the supposed conversation.

Whatever happened to journalists verifying their stories? Since when are rumours and heresay considered to be accuate reporting? Simple...when a left wing socialist, posing as a "serious" reporter is writing about a right wing conservative politician.
Thankfully, most of this brand of left wing reporting/propoganda has isn't taken seriously anymore...other than by some of the more feebly-minded in society.

I love how some Conservatives refer to the media as all being Left wing and Liberal... When in fact there are media outlets that are on both ends of the spectrum. To believe that ALL media is Left wing... well... it's proof of feeble mindedness. :lol

As for Palin being ill prepared for high office, and horribly inept at interviews... well... the proof is in the tape. That was the most sad thing I have ever seen from ANY politician. If it were my candidate, I would be saying the same thing...

As I've said - let's refrain from calling people feeble minded. And there seems to be a lot of anger in some posts - we need to get away from that as well - anger leads to hate , and hate leads to the dark side.:emperor
