Statue Prime 1 Studio x Blitzway: The Dark Knight: 1/3 The Joker

I ended up ordering this, along with the bust. After watching a few reviews the headsculpt does look better than what I initially thought. I'm not crazy about the expression, so that's why I ordered the bust. The prototype bust sculpt looks the most accurate to Heath out of Prime 1, JND, and Queen imo. I also like the base on Prime 1 the best. There's a lot going on and a good amount of accessories, the other two are simple. Others might prefer a simpler base, but not me. I prefer somewhat gaudy bases that tell a story lol. I think once paired with the bust, this joker could be the best out of the big three. We shall see.

I ordered this as well last week. My feelings are P1 will get this new portrait right. They literally have a second chance to make this the ultimate 1/3 Ledger. Once this bust gets released this statue will sell out so get it now while you can. Thats my hopeful thinking at least. We will see though.

Yesterday I put together my first Prime 1 piece in my collection, the Kratos and Atreus statue from God of War. It's 1/4th Scale and I was surprised how large it is. I have the 1/4th Scale Hot Toys Vader and Hot Toys Hulkbuster, and they seem small in comparison. I'm very happy with it. I can only imagine how big the 1/3rd scale Joker will be A lot of presence on the shelf I bet.

I think what puts me off about this piece the most is the pose. It changed from the prototype and looks even more awkward now. The way his torso bends to the side just looks bizarre, and the hand position changed.

Hopefully they do a decent paint job on the bust though, which should hopefully make up for the pose, as the prototype sculpt and paint on that bust is amazing.

If each and every bust shipped out looks exactly like this, fantastic. Once I see this head on the full statue I may even have a part of myself that will regret cancelling.

BUT I also won't forget how Prime 1 did us dirty with the original smiling production head sculpt. This is how it should have been from the get-go. In fact with the prices they've been asking, I'd almost say the original statue should have included both heads. I don't recall P1 being so eager to share production pictures of the full statue themselves. I cancelled the full statue and lost a significant NRD, but I instead opted to get the Queen 1/4 for my Ledger Joker and by the looks of recent photos, that was still the best call. I think the sculpted Queen Studios 1/4 is objectively the best bang for your buck between P1, JND, and the other Queen offerings.

I did sorta notice that, but I think it looks pretty much perfect. If the paint ends up like that, we'll have some very happy P1 owners in a few weeks/months?

I agree with you completely.
I think Prime 1 is a great company but I feel they got a little greedy in this 1/3 statue. A common theme with their 1/3 statues are multiple heads, and they now come with bust stands so that each head can be displayed and not just stuck in the box.
I think they are aware that the regular head will have a mixed bag of opinions, and instead of having the alternate head, they decided to sell it separately
for more money.
Personally, I feel that's a rip off. I would have felt a little bit of grudge had I paid that much for this statue.

That looks great! regardless of what ppl think about the face/paint on either version, the hair is probably the best sculpted Ledger hair I've ever seen at any scale on both P1 sculpts. It's got the finesse, detail and greasy look without it being rooted.

Yeah the head seems a bit long and narrow in those pics, but hard to tell if that's just lens distortion or not.

Thanks for the comparison If that really is the production version on the right, that REALLY shows they dropped the ball on the production paint for the original sculpt. If they can do something like this in production, there's no reason that the first sculpt couldn't of looked damn near exactly like the proto either.

The chin does seem larger. It's throwing the shape of the sculpt off. But the paint came out pretty good

I see what people are looking at regarding the chin being slightly less gaunt but this is an amazing production sculpt.

Holy crap that looks spot on to me! If this is truly an example of the production piece I'll be very happy. Best sculpt to date in my opinion.

Just got my Joker today, and he looks terrific! The expression is growing on me, and it really does look better in person. I feel like the paint looks really good tbh. I'm still excited about the bust though. I will display both headsculpts, I like the original that much.
