Yes. Dillinger (with Depp's likeness this time, no Edward Scissor hands please) would be fantastic. Hopefully they include at least two heads. One with and one without the mustache.

I'm fine with no stache, I'd like the suit from the poster art and the blue one he's wearing when Billie's taken, those 2 looks were really good.

I'm sure it'd have a Depp likeness, I think Ed falls under the old films where the film didn't cover the likenesses, and Ed being a goofy figure, they probably just figured they could get away without it being dead on Depp so why pursue him for the extra cash and effort it'd take.

I'd buy an HT Dillinger and Purvis in a second. Heck, I'd love a Pretty Boy Floyd and Baby Face Nelson too. The 30s outfits are great and Purvis had that cool gunbelt in the opening and they both could come with a variety of weapons.

I could too, but I figured if we got two heads it would be with and without it.

And I too think the outfit in the poster art would be the best suit to make him in.

And I suppose you are right about Edward. I mean they did have Depp's likeness for Sparrow. I guess if they can't use Depp's likeness though the next best thing would be to make it look like the real Dillinger, but then I suppose it would be pointless to get the "public enemies" rights then.

There isn't really a point to PE figures without likenesses, so if we see something, it'll look like Depp, no worries there.

Haven't seen the movie, but think it's funny that aside from both of them being white guys, Depp looks NOTHING like Dillinger.

I'm getting more of a Christopher Guest vibe, personally.

I'm sure Depp was cast for the performance he would give, not appearance. It's nice if you can get people that look that part, but you always want talent that'll make for a good story and I thought Depp played the character very nicely.

I'm sure he did okay (and him being a box office draw doesn't hurt either,) but they could've at least put a little make up to make him look more like the real guy.

I myself haven't seen it yet, but I have to be honest...the biggest draw for me in going to the movie is to see some of the overall scenes rather than just Depp or Bale. Several of the scenes were filmed in my town of Crown Point.(mostly the bank and jail scenes from our historical district). I'm curious to see how it looks on screen.
"Fingers crossed"

Considering this was a Michael Mann film, I expected a lot more stylization.

But Depp and Bale were great as was everyone else. It was weird that they had name actors in such tiny roles though - but it helped add gravitas to the proceedings. Channing Tatum as Pretty Boy Floyd was on for about 30 secs, and Leelee Sobieski had maybe 2 lines. I didn't even recognize David Wenham until he'd been on for a few scenes - don't think he had any lines at all.

Agree about the style.

It also took me a while to recognize Wenham and by that time, he'd pretty much used up all the few lines he had. Maybe a nit-pick, but I was a bit disappointed that Wenham didn't have any more screen time. His character, "Handsome" Harry Pierpont, was the co-leader of the gang. Dillinger got most of the press and this movie is basically about Dillinger and the FBI's obsession on getting him, but Pierpont was definitely a big figure. I have a feeling that much of Wenham's stuff wound up on the cutting room floor so that they could focus more on the bigger names -- Bale and Cotillard. Would have liked to have seen a little bit more of the interaction among the gang.

Huge MM fan. This was a brilliant film IMO. The attention to detail
on this period was fantastic.

Thanks, usually sites will have these things for preorder months in advance, but nowhere has it for presale yet.

I'm still a DVD buy, but this is my most anticipated home release. Love the audio on the tommy guns, so cool.
