I’ll take everything on that list except Mera, Black Adam and Harry Potter. I’m screwed. Going all in, cancelled all existing Hot Toys pre-orders and selling off everything in my collection, around 80 or so figures. Some faith in InArt, eh? That said I’m the sort of person who’d have sold all my earthly possessions for the promise of a better life in Jonestown, Guyana.

There was a point in the late 2000's where people did finally give up their beloved Hasbro 12" Star Wars figures to go "all in" on Sideshow's 1/6th Star Wars figures. I remember many people here having spasms and regrets, finding "letting go" very hard, making excuses why the Hasbro figures were still very good. But it all changed soon...

Could this be happening all over again? Does history truly repeat itself?

Ancient Alien Experts say 'Yes'.

Just wait until JND enters the 1:6 game, Hot Toys may well find themselves third in the race. I suppose they still have Star Wars and Marvel to fall back on… for now.

...The more I think about such possibilities the more I'm tempted to call it quits after Secret Wars. I'll have at least one Doom, Strange, my Iron Men, most Star Wars stuff I want; could be worse. I'm getting a vision of buying a 700$ pleather Ghost Rider, him breaking down in 2 years, and then in 2029 InArt announcing theirs as part of their Marvel line, at 1.5K... It's too much for me. Being in a never-ending rat-race and replacing the same things again, and again and again goes against my entire reason for getting these particular figures. But it is unavoidable. I always knew it. I suppose I just thought that I'd have had more time before the "next step" came about...

Ah, who am I kidding, we all know I'll be here in 2028 posting Hannibal gifs over the new Jean Grey dolly...

Look, if I'm not running around the trenches with a broken AK-47 by 2026, I'll consider myself lucky...

Kidding aside, I don't know. WB still hasn't announced anything about Green Lantern and a Hal Jordan is one of my absolute necessities, so until that happens I'll keep being around, which means I'll be able to snag an extra or something too. Who knows what's going to come out in 2027? But too much is happening and I'm tempted to stick with a more barebones approach. I don't have anything to sell since, as I've said many times, the MCU is just now getting into what I've always wanted, but I am inclined to not go for as complete a collection as I was planning. A part of me is glad for InArt, the other hates this development. The fact that 500$ rooted Legolas and Mera will exist while I'll have to settle for a 300$ Strange and sculpted ROTS Anakin bothers me. Makes me want to drop it all. But I can't, so all I can do is be pickier.

Civil War could interrupt our dollies.
In my case it'll be either getting ethnic cleansed by any of the surrounding countries or WW3 starting, but yeah, it's possible. I can see it clearly. Finally I'll be almost done, I'll order my cases from a carpenter, and bam, bombs will start flying. Then me and my sole Doom dolly will embark on an adventure of epic proportions, until some soldiers and/or random survivors beat (best case scenario...) me to death with it.

WHAT A LIFE!

This is a dangerous list for my wallet!!
I'm 4/4 with Inart so far.

Out of those left I definitely see myself picking up Aragorn - Asmus have never gotten close to a likeness of Mortensen in my opinion and I'd be very happy to add him.
The Legolas might tempt me but I'll probably pass on it - I am actually really pleased with my Asmus of him and its not a character I feel like spending this kind of money on.

I have to admit the Ringwraith intrigues me - simply because I have no idea what Inart could offer that would make it stand out from the rest or showcase their artistry!

Cavill Superman will probably be a sure buy - Hot Toys' sculpts have had a hint of Cavill, but never a spot-on likeness, plus I love Cavill's take on Superman, love his costumes. Don't see myself resisting a 1/6 Cavill.

I think I can resist Affleck and Gadot - I'm happy with my HT of them - though if the difference is the same night/day effect as the HT and Inart Pennywise then all bets are off - especially on Wonder Woman.

I'm hoping not to be tempted by the Phoenix - I have the Prime 1 statue and I couldn't be happier with it, along with the Toys Era Clown version and the diorama version when he forces himself to make a creepy smile in the mirror. I don't think I need another :ROFLMAO:

I can also see myself happily buying an Inart Harry Potter - depends on what year/version, what he comes with and how good he looks - loved the films/books and character and they informed my love for reading growing up, so I have a lot of love for the franchise in spite of what a **** JK Rowling is determined to be.

The Daenerys is.... GOT left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth in the final season and a large part of that was her character (Though Emilia Clarke was amazing - the writing was awful), it doesn't help that I was never that much into Dany in the first place..... but some of her costumes were beautiful... so I can't say I won't potentially be tempted - especially if the standard is reasonable and I am a little more flush then I am now.

I liked DUNC but I am not sure if I like it to the point of wanting an Inart of Paul.... but then again if the craftsmanship is good enough I do see this being something I might pick up the standard version of - I was tempted by the Prime 1 DUNC statue for that very reason.

I couldn't be less interested in Bale, Mera or Black Adam if I tried - they could be perfectly shrunken iterations of the characters and I wouldn't buy them for tree-fiddy.

According to people on Facebook (I know I know) Aragorn is the next figure. By all accounts Queen told people this in a web chat.
Hell to the yeah! My brother. My captain. My king!
My poor empty bank account needs a break - Inart please do Mera, Black Adam or some other character no one wants first!!! :rotfl

I watched an episode of that show once and it was WILD.
The episode I watched was about "what if the Devil.... WAS AN ALIEN!?!?!?"
I couldn't stop laughing - the entire premise of this episode basically just took the existence of an immortal inhuman supernatural personification of evil as some sort of mundane given and felt they needed to add the spicy "twist" of "what if this fictional fallen angel - who apparently we all agree is 100% real no need to prove that or go into it deeper - was actually an alien ambassador from the confederation of planets who defied orders to teach mankind about fire and was punished for it".
I was thoroughly entertained.
Maybe I should give it a watch again? I need a laugh.

Ah screwed up world, innit? Whatever. Let's enjoy our dollies while we can. Who the Hell knows what's coming.

Who knows - maybe our dollies will become more valuable in the Mad Max wasteland to come than the money we paid for them with - Book of Eli style - and each of us will control our own little fiefdoms like Gary Oldman and compete against each other for the best collection so the masses can look upon them and remember the films, art and nostalgia of the world before and slowly form a cult around them to puzzle archeologists in a few thousand years.
.....Probably not, but we can't rule it out!

On that InArt List...

I will likely pick up Phoenix Joker. I see a two-pack: Arthur Fleck, train killer and Joker.

I will likely buy Daenerys. I'm very eager to see what InArt does with the female body. Could be a total game-changer, I hope. I want to support that. Plus, I have no Daenerys.

I will be tempted by: Aragorn, Legolas and Nazgul. I withstood tremendous pressure on Gandalf. I don;t know when I will cave... but it is likely.

The Batman will be purchased. I'm just debating the merits of the ALL IN, and waiting for confirmation on that Bat Signal. Probably go Premium on Bats/Bruce though.

The rest don't interest me... but I am eager to see them. I hope they are everything people want and more.

Harry Potter is a license that worries me because, as with Stranger Things, once I’m tempted with one figure, I’ll just buy them all.
I would most certainly be tempted by Harry, Ron, Hermione, Voldemort, Dumbledore, Snape, Hagrid, Bellatrix, Dobby, The Malfoys (father and son,) Sirius, Lupin, Tonks, Moody… Stop me!!

Prisoner of Azkaban might be my ideal age representation for the main trio but it’s one book too soon to accurately share a shelf with Voldemort… Could get a sweet werewolf on there though!
I’m really not a fan of Harry or Ron’s hair from TGoF and they all start looking a bit too grown up from Order of the Phoenix onward.

Anyways, would be an immense number of options for a lot of the characters and IA would likely need to opt for whatever the most definitive version of them is. Good luck with that. Maybe they’ll do two packs with young and older versions… Anything’s possible.

Everything LOTR besides the Nazgul will be mine. I don’t need the most perfect version of one of those- unless IA blows my socks off with a steed and insane diorama.

BVS Trinity and pretty much any Batman are in the bag. Just not sure if I’d go Begins Bale or TDK to pair with Ledger- or both because that seems to be who I am now. Definitely not interested in a Bale or Afleck Bruce Wayne though which is a relief.

Joaquin Joker is a lower case maybe. I get the feeling IA will be obliged to set the price even higher than usual to meet some weird criteria for super high end collectible or something so two Ledgers may have to suffice for covering cinematic Jokers.

Then, unless IA get the original Matrix license and produce a Morpheus with ornate, leather chair, nothing else on their current slate intrigues me.

I’ll really enjoy seeing Stillsuit Paul, Mera and GOT stuff but you’ve got to draw the line somewhere.
I say that now of course…

Queen Studio John talks about the (LE) Joker in this interview, from around the 12.30 minute mark.

In a nutshell it costs them more to make than most figures, because of the licencing, so it'll cost us more to buy. So yeah more limited than most releases.
