15 products scheduled for 2025? To release or announce?
If they plan to release 15 figures that means they expect short turnarounds on a few of them. Since they have only 4 to be released at the moment.

Also really getting mixes vibes from them.
Feels like they still don’t have a good sense of their release strategy/schedule.
While it’s good to take time for perfect figures. They do seem to change their minds a lot on priority figures or what lines to complete.
It’s not that hard. Complete lines and companion pieces asap. Strike while the iron is hot. Why are we still waiting on Bale or Affleck for example? The one thing people universally hate about Hot Toys, is never knowing if lines will be completed, now Inart is doing the same. People will buy a character faster if they know for sure a line will be completed. If I know for certain that the fellowship would be completed I would buy legolas, but don’t want legolas if there isn’t at least a gimli.

And no 2.0’s is out the window.. last bit of value Ledger two pack had is now gone.

Lots of questions starting of the year for inart. Hope they can pull it off. Quality is there, but in my opinion the qc and release strategy really needs to be ace this year.

If you wanted them to see there’s demand for the Fellowship, you should’ve always had ordered Legolas.
It’s a catch 22 with the Fellowship. 9 figures is a lot. And many people want the full Fellowship but so rarely does it happen. People are hesitant to jump in without a guarantee of all 9 happening. Companies are also hesitant to commit to all 9 if they don’t sell well, which they inevitably don’t because of the lack of commitment to all 9. Honestly showing off all 9 at once is probably the only way to get enough collectors’ buy in these days. That’s a tough commitment for any company to do upfront.

Thank goodness we can get a ledger joker 2.0 and not a Gimli.

Honestly, the ledger joker thing is like a virus in this hobby. The inart or artisan or jnd is good enough for 99.99% of collectors; you are chasing ghosts at this point and this could be a massive setback and resource waste if and when it doesn’t sell much.

I'd assume to be announced.

Well said, if I recall correctly, InArt had already said they were unlikely to make a lot of side characters for Justice League and LoTR back when they first showed up and were doing a lot of Q&As and interviews, because they're not yet at a point where they can commit to characters that won't sell as well as main characters. This new information just confirms that.

I think for me, if I was collecting or wanting The Fellowship, I’d support it. I mean you see that same argument used for other characters. For example, people want more Alien IP figures by HT, so in a sense, they should support the Romulus stuff. Now Romulus is nowhere near critically acclaimed like LOTR trilogy, so imo, all the more reason to support INART LOTR releases as they come out.

Just my opinion…

These news do not really bode well for my prefered version of Aragorn I want, the Black Gate look. I hope they one day get there, but I highly doubt it if they're not even considering other fellowship members atm. Hopefully their other products sell well and will net them enough financial security that they can proceed with LOTR, even if it will be very slow.

All the important info from the InArt/MorFig Q&A that took place at the Tokyo Event:
  • Sam and Frodo from Fellowship of the Ring seem to be the next and likely final LoTR figures, as sadly other characters from the franchise are not being considered at the moment.

  • InArt has plans to release a new Heath Ledger Joker using all the experience they've gained since entering the 1/6 market.

Wow... blown away about LOTR news here. The Three Hunters plan SMASHED to bits. Now I'm relieved I didn't order Legolas.

I'm not too secure that InArt will put all its best efforts into a line that they know is dead. This is very bad news all around.

The Joker/Ledger 2.0 was inevitable, and truthfully I'm happy they'll take another crack at him. I'm not one for variants of that character so unless there's a purple coat and green vest in the deluxe offering, it's just another figure I will admire from afar.

In the end, sounds like InArt is going in a direction I have no interest in. Maybe 2026 will be a better year for them.

Unless they announce them quickly, looks to be a slow release year for Inart.

They were indeed not committed to anything, I believe it was kind of implied they were going to do their best to complete lines.
But what lines are selling well if that is what we’re going by? Lotr seemed to sell well. But they are still not completing it.
Ledger sold well, but bale still isn’t here. I just don’t understand the logic.

As unfortunate as it is, its good to know that Terminator isn't on the horizon yet. That makes me more confident to get the new HT galleria version, if they improve the sculpt of the version shown at cons so far (that's a big if).

It's curious that they haven't taken their Nazgûl to this and the other recent showcase/con. All other current PO's are there, right? It's wishful thinking, but I hope that means they really are reworking the hood.

I'm also interested in the price of these Morfigs. If they can keep it under $100, I might pick up the Arkham Origins Bats. I always liked that design, and I like picking up one-off 1/12 figures here and there, since they are much easier and fun to pose dynamically than 1:6.

If they have 15 products scheduled for 2025 my guess based on the listed info would be:
  1. Batfleck
  2. Affleck Bruce Wayne
  3. Knightmare Batfleck
  4. Wonder Woman
  5. Reeve Superman
  6. Reeve Clark Kent
  7. Bale Batman
  8. Michael Jackson Smooth Criminal
  9. Bruce Lee
  10. Snape
  11. Malfoy
  12. Black Myth Wukong
Still leaves 3 but not sure if they’re including 1/12 in those 15. We’ll see if they can announce that much.

I’d be happy if they do decide to do a Deathly Hallows Harry. Ideally I would get him, Snape, and a Gambon Dumbledore if they were to ever make him.

I’d be down for this Golden Trio.

Disappointing to hear InArt is just dabbling in various franchise IPs but not completing a line.

According to that Q&A summary post, they’ll be releasing Neo (but not the rest of the Matrix characters) or not even completing the rest of the Fellowship - guess I’ll hold onto my Asmus LOTR figures for now.

Thank goodness the Daenerys figure is still alive but have little confidence InArt will provide us other figures besides the Mother of Dragons and Jon Snow.

I’ll say this, but when you think about it, isn’t Neo the only one you really need to represent The Matrix IP? I mean, any bonus characters would be welcomed of course, but Neo works as a standalone piece just fine, imo.

As for Game of Thrones, I kinda figured only Daenerys and Jon would be the ones to be made by INART. Seeing as that’s most likely the case, it also makes sense they’d be S8 based since well, ya know, they’re actually together during their time in Winterfell.

As a fan of ALL GoT and Jon x Dany, I’m content with these looks myself, even though I would’ve preferred if they had done the earlier seasons and make all the mains in their most “definitive” looks even if they’re all mismatched together. I also think INART and their domestic market actually received S8 well.

Do people really want a trio of teenagers in mid 2000s clothes that look like they were picked by their mom from American Eagle?

Is that REALLY what a company that's capable of the figure equivalent of photorealism is best suited for?

Is that really worth $500 a figure? $1500 for people that look like my highschool wardrobe?

If you'd put them in Hogwarts garb, or quidditch attire...but in the barbie clothing accessory pack?

I'm also THOROUGHLY confused on canning/delaying things like Terminator or the rest of the fellowship, but we're getting *checks notes* Paul Atreides'...mom...?

That's the thing that will recoup licensing, R&D, and manpower? Is there a secret sect of people obsessed with Jessica or something I haven't heard about?

It reminds me of NECA insisting that a new T1 Kyle Reese and Sarah wouldn't sell because they're civilians figures, and yet they've just pumped out people in Jeans/Tshirts/Jackets from far more obscures licenses for years now.

I don’t think they’re canning Terminator. God, do we always forget about things..? Lol.

INART have been in talks with StudioCanal (the licensor) for the longest time now, but SC requested to see more of INART’s portfolio work before giving them the go-ahead to do a Terminator figure. It seems this is still the current status. OR, INART (because of this demand), are now pivoting until they feel they can provide a Terminator figure that would meet SC’s expectations and requirements, given their improvements in figure making since they started. A definitive Terminator 1/6 figure that meets their quality standards.

Idk, I’m just spitballing but that’s how I interpret it.
