Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

For me full figures the only way to go. With RM it's a project where one artist has made the head, the clothing, modded the body, and the accessories, and it's the paint that pulls it altogeather and makes each one personal and puts his own hand touched stamp on each.

plus we dont have to buy a body, a stand, w8 three weeks for them to arrive aswell, im just too lazy and impatient so thats why i got the full set:rotfl

How does one go about purchasing one of these Rainman Dr. Huckleberry figures? What do they general sell for? I'm a huge Tombstone fan!

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Spending the extra $300 to get the full set will pretty much guarantee your Doc will maintain or increase in value over time. As good as the Iminime team's paint job is it doesn't have the cachet of Rainman's full set. A good example is that the painted HS by iminime team is still available. If in the future you find yourself needing to sell Doc for whatever reason you will be able to get your money back and maybe more.

Clothing + HS sets go up too. Even Clothing sets. I Bought my Man With No Name clothing set for $280-something, and sold it for over $600. So it's safe to say anything Rainman will go up with time.

You have to register on rainmans site.

Clothing and sculpt sets are about $400 and full edition figures are around $800.

Unfortuntely all sets apart from painted and unpainted sculpts alone are sold out.

The only available option left is a painted head or unpainted. They go pretty fast once they are put up for sale.

His full figures are usually in the $700-1000 price range. The outfits sell for around 300-450, painted heads 100-120 and unpainted heads 50or so.

Id say keep an eye out here for anyone selling their outfit sets or full figures. Maybe you can convince Turdfurgeson to sell you his. He had it for sale up until recently.

The other option is to buy an unpainted head then get it painted or buy a painted head and assemble the body and outfit on your own. I saw someone the other day who only bought a head and put together damn near a perfect Doc Holliday outfit for around $150.

Do you remember where/in which thread you saw this Eric?

You would think the person would have shown it in here wouldn't you?!:dunno

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

That looks ok, but I don't think it even comes close to the set we are getting from Rainman. Just my opinion.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Im not sure if he even posts here. He sent me these pictures on a different forum.

To me its pretty close and I think of Doc right away when I see the pictures.

Pretty decent concoction, I'd say. Of course not at all as good as Rainman's but with some futzing and pose, plus Rainman's head sculpt, one can make it look good.
