Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Ah, I assumed doing that extra step of paint work wouldn't be very time consuming. But I don't know anything about painting heads.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Certainly no rush from my point of view. I am just extremely excited.

The sweat effect must delay this by a little I would imagine. Totally worth the wait to get that effect though.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I dont mind the added wait time. Take as much time as they need to make it right.

Between 3A and Hot Toys, there wait time can be months or even longer than a year. For something this custom a month to two months is pretty outstanding.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Actually really happy with the look Rainman went with in the end :)

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

:exactly: Absolutely no doubts about that! :)

Just in case someone could score only the head and would want to complete his Doc. :peace

:exactly: I ordered a second head for this very reason, and I'm glad rainman didn't go with the o.k corral clothing in the end as that is easily the easiest look to bash or have commissioned for a what I'd imagine would be reasonable price.

..and we all know Teddy is practically full figure or nothing so these clothing sets wouldn't interest him anyway.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I regret to inform you guys that I need to sell my Doc. if anybody is looking for a full set pm me. :(:(:(:(:(:(

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

When you buy a full set, do you actually get a proper figure box as opposed to if you bought only the clothing and head set?

Im trying to see what the pro's and con's are of selling my outfit/painted head set (at least trying to) so that I can potentially pick up TurdFerguson's full set.

I know you get an actual Rainman paint up and the cup but what other benefits are there to justify the $300 difference besides the body and figure stand?

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Full sets do come in boxes with Styrofoam cut out for the figure to fit in, etc. But it isn't like Rainman makes boxes with artwork and information about the character a la Hot Toys or Sideshow. Essentially, they're still just generic boxes, albeit slightly more tailored to what you are receiving. The parted sets are often packed with pieces of Styrofoam that were cut away from the pieces included with full sets as packaging material.

IMO the paint job, special item, body and the full assembly warrants the $300 extra.

I think the paint job alone is worth it

That is subjective. The paint job alone by Rainman may justify the difference to a person.
