Just speaking for myself, the gimmick that made Hitgirl unique and fun to watch was completely gone and felt generic. The rest of it felt the same as the first because it's just a typical comic book movie with foul language and blood.

Agree. And no Big Daddy.

Well Stars and Stripes was the hollow attempt to fill that character type's void but lacked the emotional connection we got with Daddy and Hitgirl.

I agree that Jim Carrey's character was underwhelming.

Hit Girl was never the main attraction for me in the first film, and I think I actually liked her character more in the second. Both films have much more to offer than her character though, IMO.

Running Scared - 6.5/10

I wasn't very impressed with Paul Walker in the Fast & Furious films, but I was surprised at how great he was in this. Truly fantastic.

R.I.P.

2 Guns 7/10

Pretty decent

Loved this movie.

"Did you just wink at him?!"

"Yes I did, because he's my ***** now!"

I actually liked seeing an older Hit-Girl, she still kicked ***.

And, if anything, the fact that it felt that same as the first movie was a good thing for me.

I didn't miss Big Daddy. His character is great, but his story was over. I loved Col. Stars and Stripes, and whilst his death scene was nowhere near as effective as Big Daddy's, it was still good. Overall I thought he was a solid character.

Thwei hit the nail on the head though. So many people see these movies as simply Hit-Girl and Friends, there is so much more to them, and Hit-Girl is just one part of an overall very enjoyable movie experience. To me anyway.

Caught that on Netflix last year. Got it as a birthday gift this year. It's a great movie.

There's just something so witty and sarcastic about Cary Grant's acting (same as North by Northwest) and it's captivating. Audrey Hepburn was quite stunning as well.

The Hobbit 2 - 5.5/10

That movie took forever. Damn near every scene took longer then it should.
