Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

"No Country for Old Men"

This was the worst film the Coens ever made. As a Coen Bros. fan, I was really disappointed.

Rating: Wait for the beta tape release.

Ratings from lowest to highest: Wait for the beta tape release, 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, 70mm+

Really? You hated it that much? To be honest I found the ending weak but its the kind of film I KNOW I will watch like a hundred times. I really liked it the acting was class A!

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

By the second time you see it, the ending wont bother you.

I wouldn't say it "bothered" me, I really liked the film and know I will like it the more I watch it, its just I guess I wasn't expecting it to end like that.

I would have to say the suspence was sick! There aren't many Coen Bros films I don't like.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Well, bothered, unnerved...suprised...it'll all be gone by the next viewing. (Talking about the ending. Not the other scenes. They're still as suspensful, and tense as ever. )

Even Hudsucker has grown on me over the years, and "Intolerable" and "Ladykillers," the worst of their movies (in my opinion) are still better than the vast majority of movies released. Those guys are the best.

Just saw "Best Seller," 6.5/10

Good, worth watching, but not that good. Most of the "goodness" comes from James Woods' character and the tension that he produces.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

That is one of those movies that somehow got better and better the older I got. I liked Evil Dead 2 a heck of a lot more when I was in middle/high school, but now I think of them as fairly equally good.

I totally agree. Can't decide which i like better anymore. But they are both in my top 5 favorites of all time without a doubt.

I liked No Country For Old Men. i'd give it a 8/10

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

No Country for Old Men is a badass flick... but to each his own.

Kung Fu Panda: 7.5/10 Really funny for what it was, and the action sequences were really well done.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I agree completely about "No Country." Up there with "There Will Be Blood" and "Eastern Promises" as one of my favorites from last year. I also dug "Kung Fu Panda" more than I thought I would.

Just saw "the Howling" for the first time. Better than I expected. A very solid horror flick, though the ending was, to me, a tad bit weak.

Why does she look like a puppy dog at the end?

7.5 out of 10

I considered watching "Knight Riders" tonight, but passed. That is a great, unappreciated gem (overlooked because it is a George Romero movie not about zombies). If any of you haven't checked it out, you should. The great Tom Savini plays a key role (and does all the crazy stunts, of course).

6.5/10

Reeves was good in it and I like how Gort becomes the destuctive force, but it just ends and that is it. We left not talking about it much. A good but forgettable movie.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

No Country For Old Men was a great film but definantly not for everyone.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original) 8.5 out of 10

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Quantum of Solace 8/10, i thought this was a pretty good bond film, good action and a decent storyline.

Mirrors 8/10 decent setting for the film, well acted, nice and creepy, and gory.

Babylon AD 5/10, not bad but not brilliant either.

Resident Evil Degeneration (Animation) 6/10, the score would be higher if you prefer the original game storyline and chars.

The day the earth stood still 6/10, it needed a bit more action in it, bit of a let down tbh.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Step Brothers - 9/10
Old School - 8/10 - Will Ferrell,Vince Vaughn,Luke Wilson
He was a quiet Man 7/10 - Christian Slater and Elisha Cuthbert

I'd have to agree entirely and JUST got back from seeing it in IMAX, not bad but nothing WOW! 6.5/10 as well.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Yeah like others here have said, I liked The Day The Earth Stood Still remake. Probably 7/10 for me.

I don't know why critics panned the film as they did. It's not bad. Keannu was a good fit as a modern Klaatu, I think.

Yea 6.5 sounds about right, would have been an 8 to me if Will Smith's stupid kid didn't want to make me strangle him the entire movie.

i agree, but i would give it a 7.5 or 8, a 6.5 is like a below average movie,i thought it was good, not great, i felt that jennifer and reeves did a good job in it and i dont think the point of the movie was supposed to be action packed, but i have noticed that a lot of movies being made now (remake or not) or focusing on how humans of present day are destroying the earth's environment.......well really being pounded into our heads :monkey1

Go read the reviews in Yahoo movies and alot of them are saying that Gore must've had his hand in the making of it. They even used words like hippy and tree hugger. :lol

I was going to go see it today but I just wasn't in the mood to go out in these high winds.
