I actually watched KRULL for the first time, last night. :lol

After having that, dare I say.. 'iconic' film poster circling around in my head for around 30 years now (I remember seeing it in the cinema back in 1984 when I saw Wargames), & wanting to eventually buy the movie, I finally found a Youtube upload - in HD no less, to enjoy.

On the whole - I liked it. Some of it is crap (the last 10mins), but there's some awesome vintage sci-fi fantasy gold in there that kind of redeems it. The story is derivative, the premise isn't new, the climax is a complete missed opportunity, but the great beginning sequence, the sprawling cinematography, beautiful locations, Liam Neeson, the noble Cyclops, the crystal spider, the black fortress, the leader of the slayers - 'THE BEAST'.. all those were really cool things.

All up - 6.8 / 10

Actually, it sort of reminded me of LEGEND in a lot of ways.

Great visuals, airy-fairy damzel, rag tag band of allies, & a pretty impressive monster / bad guy.

Some of the interiors of the Black Fortress, reminded me of Salvador Dali paintings - that was cool too.

You're usually such a harsh critic man.. :lol
I thought 'Jeepers' was complete ****.
Harsh? Nah. After all I was kind enough to give DotFP a 6/10. :monkey3

I love the original JpCp since 2003. First 2/3 are great examples of long gone methods of building the suspense and creating the fear w/o shoving scares up viewer's ass every 5-10 minutes.
