No cuts? It had to have some cuts. Not sure what you mean, is it some digital trick to make it seem like one continuous shot?
It must be trick. I'm not a filmmaker, so I don't know if that's even possible, but it's one continuous shot and it never stops, very surreal.
Woah!Riddick - 8/10
Invaders From Mars - 4/10
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein 1994: 8/10
I'm not sure I'd rate it that high, but kudos to Branagh for making the most faithful Frankenstein ever to grace the screen. At least to my knowledge.
I know the film isn't well liked but I have read the book and I think it's pretty close but not 100% accurate. What gives it a 8 is Branagh and De Niro's performances. Plus the special effects ruled especially the laboratory scenes with the help of the soundtrack. Overall the story was on and off but pretty close.
I thought it was pretty good myself, the slipping and sliding in the lab felt a little awkward, but thats hardly worthy for me to pick at. I read the book as well, and Branagh did a decent job. It has been a long time, probably due for a re-watch.
It took me a couple of watches to actually appreciate the film. I use to not care too much about it but I appreciate what went into the film. Branagh performance was pretty good I really liked his character but definitely De Niro's was just awesome. Bang on.
Yes, DeNiro did an excellent job as the child/creation forsaken by his Father/God. I'll have to give it another watch, I definitely liked it the first time around, but I havent seen it since it first came to theaters.
Hope you dont think I was picking on you by saying I didn't think it deserved an 8, I was mainly saying I liked it, but not as much as you.
