I thought all the SAW movies were about the same. I'd rate them about 5 - 5.5 /10

They're much better than any of the Freddy/Jason/Myers slasher films IMO. Plus Cary Elwes is awesome, even if his acting wasn't. :lol

Indeed.

Whiplash 9.5/10

Damn. As a drummer, that was hardcore. I do give Teller a lot of props on that. Though I don't think it's his acting that was great. It was the commitment to the role. Also I can see why Simmons earned that Oscar. Just wow. I will however say I did not like 2 things due to how random it is: The Sean Casey thing, and Andrews relationship with Nicole. Overall though? I recommend people to watch it.

O.K Caught up on a bunch films from Netflix 1st Stephen Kings a Good marriage pretty Twiztid as always from King i give it a 5.
My 2nd film Don Jon with Levitt & Scar joe pretty messed up Levitt is in this film just a total Guedo dumb ass addicted to porn but good suprise seeinng Tony Danza in this was cool but movie was pretty lame to me give it a 3.

Then the movie Echo pretty cool kids alien / blairwitch style filming not bad worth seeing once give it a 4 and half.

Next World war Z pretty cool zombie film give it a 6.

After that Anchorman 2 pretty funny give it a 5 and last The wolf of wallstreet pretty crazy give it a 6

I forgot about new Robocop never will replace 1st version but they done very well on remake give it a 7

Watched Fury recently aswell. Good, but that final battle seemed a bit unnecessary in the context of the story. Did I miss why it was important to defend that area which was seemingly abandoned and was just somewhere they happened to run over a mine while on their way to somewhere else?

because it seems to me Pitt got almost his entire crew and himself killed because he didn't want to abandon a tank

It was mentioned when the tank platoon set off that there was no immediate reserve and if the crossroads wasn't held then it would allow the Germans to get into the Divisional rear area (where the hospitals, Q-stores etc are) and run amok unopposed. Pitt had to hold it until more troops could arrive.

It's a bit flimsy (I'd use a lot more than a tank PL for rear-area security) but a reason is given.

**EDIT** seeing as this is the thread for it:

Fury - 8/10. Really enjoyed it and thought it was a good take on a WW2 movie. Look very good as well. Yeah bits of it are very unbelievable, but I thought it did a better job of showing what combat is like than many other films.

Sin City 2 - 6/10. Looks awesome (as did the first) and I'm glad I bothered to watch it but the stories just weren't that excitingly told. Needed to be made within 4 years of the first. Good to see that if nothing else Jessica Alba can dance :)

Enemy - 7.7/10

What a beautiful mess, I came up with a couple of theories. I think the poster of the movie gives a good explanation:

enemy.jpg

The ending is what really blew my mind, his temptation is his enemy he realizes he is going to have to accept that his "problem" will never go away, history repeats itself

"The first time as tragedy the second as farce"

Watch this, it clears it all up very nicely imo. I guarantee you will love the film all the more after watching this explanation by Chris Stuckmann.

Took me a week, which is actually longer than I expected; but I finished Parks and Recreation.

I got to give it a 9 out 10.

Such a fun and incredible show, I won't deny a few moments had me tearing up. I am seriously hoping NBC will give us a blu ray set.

Recommend it to anyone, and like a lot say; it picks up a lot in season 2, so don't be discouraged in season 1.

Thanks for that, and for the other responses I got from RIDDICK and CallMeTheDoctor.

Yep, guess I just missed it. I'd have to agree then with what I've seen said about it, best war movie since Saving Private Ryan.

The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes - 6/10

Eh, fine kids entertainment but nothing more.
People sure like to overpraise things.

Malèna 8.75/10

This was a nice film. Really wide range of emotion and just a fantastic story. Some moments I felt they could have done better with Renato, but Malèna was just a beauty. Monica Bellucci was wonderful and certainly beautiful. It's a great spin of what often people associate as negative like homelessness and such.
