Kiss Kiss Bang Bang: 7/10

2nd viewing in a while. Fun and funny characters, but again as in the Nice Guys, the climax of the movie doesn’t feel all that special. Can’t decide which one of those two I like better.

Also, it was only 11 years ago in 2005, but the gay jokes feel really ignorant now. They’re not terribly offensive, and the character is portrayed very positively, but I guess the gay community has come a long way in these 10 years where jokes like that feel ignorant.

Hotel Transylvania 3D - 5.5/10

Scores points for the monster characters and some laughs, but that's it.

Money Monster - 8/10

Hostage movie directed by Jodie Foster with George Clooney and Julia Roberts. Doesn't seem to have great reviews but I enjoyed it.

Queen of Katwe 8/10, based on a true story with excellent acting by everyone.Directed by Mira Nair.. Salaam Bombay,Mississippi Masala has done an impossible task in that with so many children in the film there was not one child who was not a very good natural actor in this film.

Predators - 6.5/10

Tempted to go up to 7. Honestly, it's alright. I don't seem to find it as offensive as others do.

Fascinating. It seems you possess an unusual high level of tolerance for weak leading heros. Do you also enjoy Star Wars and The Terminator? :monkey3

Predators is a decent flick, albeit Brody being weak as TCP says - & miscast, might I add.

OBLIVION -- 8 / 10

I love this movie. Story issues aside, it's a joy to watch for the visuals & tech alone, & Tom kicks *** in it.

I like Predators also
Mis cast for sure.
6/10

ALIEN. I had not watched in ages so much overlooked i only really remember the 2 classic scenes chest burst and the air lock but the film has so much more. Never remember the prometheus ship n engineer plain as day with the alien egg's lol. Make's me wanna watch prometheus as a sequel kinda anyway give a 8.

Girl on a Train - C+

Great acting and a potentially interesting story aren't enough to save a movie if it has such bland execution.

Cowboys and Aliens 5/10.
Meh......typical stuff.......weird setting ...but same old same old......

PLEXWORTHY: no

Only God Forgives - 6/10 Over-stylization hurt this one, to the point that it was dull and eye-rolling at times. But it was interesting, in some ways it's the negative of Drive or the other way around, and it's even more interesting if you view the cop as the protagonist; A righteous cop, with a cool sword and Muay-Thai skills, trying to rid his country from the incestuous white trash and their vice, rotting it from within.

If I rate it as-is, it's a 5/10.

Yeah, not as good as Drive, imo. It felt very pretentious too, but maybe that was on purpose.

I can see how it was on purpose, I viewed it as a way to represent the decadence in Bangkok, just trash and vice showered with pretty neon lights at night, but it was excessive in a way that it felt trite, like someone watched Drive and wanted to pay homage :lol

Music was cool though.
