Love Simon 7/10

Pacific Rim 2018 4/10.. Clint should tell his son not to use the Eastwood name. And I thought he was terrible in Fate of the Furious. But Mr cardboard cut -out really ruined this film. You would think someone would tell him to go back to construction, but then again his father is CE.

Ready Player One IMAX 3D 7/10

Tomb Raider reboot not bad still prefer Angenlina but new actress does good job , move's fast give a 4.

I kill giants. A little girl severely depressed over mom's cancer death fight's giants. I thought would be better bit depessing to be honest, wanted more giants less depressing story. I give a 3.

Pacific rim uprising. I dont know i just cant get into this movie. It feels like bad power ranger's script's put into big screen movie. Save the world but destroys the full city good job 'Facepalm through out the movie watching it all. I cant even rate it its just a bad movie.

Death Wish. Bruce Willis remake I enjoyed this one move's fast give a 7.

Ready Player one. A solid 10 imo. So much fanlove through full film i prey for a sequel to more of the Oasis.

Ready Player One 3D - 8.5/10

Really enjoyed this. If it wasn't for the second challenge segment, I could have taken my 9 year old. Looking forward to the eventual 3D Blu release.

Justice League - 3/10

Did not enjoy this.

Justice League 6 out of 10- A mostly mediocre superhero popcorn flick. I didn't like most of the costumes (Flash, Cyborg, final battle Batman, Steppenwolf, Parademons), the CGI was poor, and the story was rushed. I did like most of the battles (the Amazon one looked really fake), some of the dialogue, how Supes was resurrected and how all the characters were portrayed. Overall I liked it more than I thought but definitely not the best.

Downsizing 3 out of 10- I did not want to watch this but a friend wanted to so I endured. This was billed as a quirky comedy but THIS WHOLE MOVIE WASN'T FUNNY. It was actually quite a depressing movie. Damon's character is so passive throughout this, he doesn't really drive the story he's just getting pulled into situations that gradually have him come out of his shell and take hold of his life, but the other characters are just boring and uninteresting and the downsized world is barely important to the story. They didn't do anything with it, just an occasional "look how big this real world cracker is!" and that's it. It might as well just been a new man made island community he was joining to get away from his old world. Boring uninteresting movie, avoid.

Ready Player One - 7/10

Minus one point for horrible lead actor.
Minus one point for underdeveloped characters.
Minus one point for messy camera work and visuals bein' way too modern for the tone and the story.

Overall it's a nice oldschool Spielberg's fairytale.

Hanna (2011): 7/10

Saoirse Ronan has quickly become one of my favourite actresses and she was excellent in this.

The Last Jedi: 9/10
I watched it again for the first time since my one theater viewing and I still liked it. I swear, I tried to watch it with a critical eye, and an "open" mind with regards to the criticisms, and I still ended up liking the movie. I liked it in the theater and I still like it. I even don't mind the Canto Bight stuff, which is actually pretty short. I thought Luke was great and I liked how they handled the character. Towards the end, it kept getting better and better, and I kept thinking, "come on! How can anyone not like this?!? This is awesome!" My only criticism, and this is my own personal view, is that I would have liked more small character moments like TFA had. I think TFA excelled in that and I would have liked to see them do a little more this time around. But like I said, it's just my own personal preference and it certainly didn't kill the movie for me.

Coco: 8/10
Really great! Another strong Pixar movie. They've been so hit and miss lately that I lost a little of the enthusiasm I had for the Pixar movies. I'll have to get the "art of" book and blu ray for this.

Downsizing - 4/10

The premise of this story is actually really interesting, which covers I'd say the first quarter or maybe first half of this movie, and then that's it. The story then changes to be all about Damon's character growth, or lack thereof and then you stop caring very quickly about anything that is going on. It's very dry and the only good thing about the second half was Christoph Waltz, for the little screen time he actually had.

:goodpost:

I enjoyed the hell out of it, and haven't liked a Star Wars movie to such an extent since watching Empire as a kid.
