For me yes but I'm sure many will disagree. It was a magical thing to see dinos brought to life on screen in 1993 but from the very beginning I've always felt the film itself was a bit overrated.

In fact back in the day I actually preferred Last Action Hero, lol.

And speaking of that I loved it in RPO when

the T-Rex was attacking the cars speeding by the theater showing the Jack Slater movie.

Awesome little nod to the summer of '93. :rock

RPO just seems like a really great treat, something that I don't really want to take too seriously or analyze too much, but it's so much fun hen you're watching it.

If this doesn't get a 3D US release, it will be a crime.

Also, I totally agree with what you said about JP. Dinosaurs were incredible, but still felt it was a little bit of a letdown in other areas.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture 1979

I saw this movie the first day it was released
in theaters back in December 1979. It was terrific to see
the original series crew again.. and in a movie. It was a little
sad when you think on how the actors who played Spock,
McCoy, and Scotty are gone. This a good movie. It's not
great but I do enjoy watching it almost 40 years later.

Ready Player One (3D) - 6th viewing

97/100

I found it to be incredibly stellar. Writing was safe, so it wasn't some extraordinary tale, and a lot of things conveniently fall into place. But it tells what it needs to tell, and was cohesive from beginning to end.

Visually, this is what won me over, we have so many Easter eggs to sift through, and you always pick up on something new. I will admit that some parts look a bit weird, for example; Parzival's hair was very well done, but Harley's hair during the nightclub scene looked like someone who never played with Play-doh had worked on it. But that didn't bother me as much as if it had been one of the main characters.

Acting was good, nothing iconic, but a lot play the role really well. Nolan can be a bit comical, but he definitely was written and embodied that 80's villain vibe. I actually found his character appreciated in each viewing, even when things like the ending seemed farfetched. Olivia and Tye are just a blast to see, I'll always remember telling my family and friends that those 2 will be doing well in the future, and glad to see I wasn't the only one with that sentiment.

I haven't read the book, yet, but to me, this was just a fun and all around great film.

Tales of Halloween - 3/10

Pretty much a straight-up laughable Trick-'r-Treat wannabe from start to finish with the exception of three decent segments that should have been movies on their own.

Coco.
9/10
Plexworthy : yes
Rewatchability: 7/10

Pixar always pulls the punches at the end. I saw the ending coming from the 1st act, but damn you Pixar, it still carried weight.

Great VR world but the plot derailed this movie for me.

So a private corporation is enslaving and physically torturing civilians because of their bad credit and the police are not notified why!

So the police arrive at end to arrest the bad guy but no one can notify the authorities that he’s keep prisoners and torturing them!

They were weak corporate villains with weak motivations and that female baddie was horribly written and portrayed.

Very good love story though.

The black girl who played Aech (was that his name) was very likable she had great charisma but really just her.

The VR bad guy was also cool.

By the car chase at the end in the real world I was done with that plot.

I never bought their evil plan just silly that they would do the things they did.

I never bought him holding a gun on Wade. .

How and where the VR was used made no sense it was all over the place.

No one would EVER wear real suits that would kill them while playing a videogame.

Gamers would allow getting punched in the nuts really.

Was that supposed to be a spiritual message at the end or am I going crazy lol

Why they would have the rights from TOHO to use the Godzilla name and character yet not give him his roar made no sense to me. You know any Godzilla avatar would have his classuc roar Mecha or not.

Unfortunately like King himself I was never a fan of that horror movie I was hoping it was Exorcist, F13th 1, Halloween 1 or The Thing but no such luck so it was all a snooze for me lol

Some great songs but needed more of them.

Yes the VR car race was very cool.

3D was just ok i’ve seen much better.

Another movie ruined by the villains.

Say it ain't so Joe

I didn’t hate the movie it had a nice charm to it inside the VR world but the corporate villain plot was horribly constructed.

I never bought Sorento wanting a gun.

His henchwoman has to be one of the worst villains i’ve seen in quite sometime just horrible.

I'll admit I just gave a pass to the real world stuff, as I enjoyed the virtual world so much.
