Anyway, I only have seen the Assassination of Jesse James, and I thought while it dragged, it was a good story, and the filming was done much better than the aforementioned film discussed.

I would give it a 7.5 out of 10. Maybe an 8... I felt that Afleck did a great job.

Thats why it makes it so good,the story itself is nothing special,i have 2 friends that hate it too,i mean...REALLY hate it but then again they have no clue about movies...

Have downloaded the Stephen King TV Series (haven't watched it yet) King's softened on the movie, but you still get the feeling he's very bitter about what Kubrik did to his story. Then again I would be too if the I had a story that the director had put his name over the top.

But for atmosphere you can't fault it, even if I felt that was more due to the music which at times felt overly intrusive, something to do with those low notes.
Alien apparantly had the same problem during it's test screenings, the low notes were causing people to dash to the toilets

Have downloaded the Stephen King TV Series (haven't watched it yet) King's softened on the movie, but you still get the feeling he's very bitter about what Kubrik did to his story. Then again I would be too if the I had a story that the director had put his name over the top.

Don't waste your time, it was horrible. A good kick in King's ass for ^^^^^ing in the first place. The Shining (IMO) is a masterpiece, Kubrick's version was so much more better, he took a great book and adapted it into what would work on the screen. This is something King couldn't appreciate.

Don't waste your time, it was horrible. A good kick in King's ass for ^^^^^ing in the first place. The Shining (IMO) is a masterpiece, Kubrick's version was so much more better, he took a great book and adapted it into what would work on the screen. This is something King couldn't appreciate.

Yeah the Shining Mini-Series sucked so much azz that Stephen King got Diarrhea over the next 3 years!

An effortless 10/10 and one of my top 10 all time favorites!

mine too,a really good movie,Raising Arizona by the Coens isnt bad either.

Resident Evil Extinction 7/10 I really liked this one. I loved the first and hated the 2nd but this one was good. Didn't like it more than the first though.

Amusement 7/10 I liked this movie because it wasn't big on story,it just cut to the chase and was pure horror action. And the scene where the killer was in a clown costume was scary as hell.

The 3D - 7/10 - It was kewl sometimes, but made the movie look too video game like. Some things worked and lots didn't

The movie - 5/10 - Had some good gore FX, but the acting was terrible from everyone in it, even for a slasher flick. It drug on too long.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford haven't seen it, plan too since it is on demand now

Still need to read the book so I can decide on which one I like better.
Was annoying to find out that Kubrik personally took out over 20 minutes of footage from the European release. Just like he prevented Clockwork Orange getting a release in the UK after there was a copycat style killing.

Guess what happened after Kurbik died though, it came straight out on DVD

Make sure you see The Proposition too. It's a gritty, brutal film with excellent performances.
