8/10 I really liked it. There is just something about Japanese originated horror that gets me hooked.

I know its not and neither is The Grudge or The Ring but who cares? IMO the American remakes look better (Ring & Grudge for example)

If you prefer watching a film with subtitles then knock yourself out! This film was fantastic for both the surround sound and BluRay.

\I mean seriously...they all have those stupid ghosts that act like they're high on coke or something. And they get the "prettiest" faces to bloodlessly kill off screen. I had to be dragged to them all. And not one has even impressed me.

Don't get me wrong...some have merit. Thought the first Ring was better than Ringu.

But to me, it's getting a little old.

But I'm glad you liked Shutter.

This would be an awesome Hot Toy's line.
I would take a Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Virgil, Johnny Ringo, and a Curly Bill...

This is on the History Channel as we speak (and I am watching). More than anything else, I just love the actors in this one: Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Bill Paxton, Michael Biehn, Powers Boothe, Sam Elliot. Hell, its even got Henry the serial killer and the Sandman! One of my favorite ensemble movies, up there with Magnificent Seven and the Dirty Dozen.

I think the American Ring is brilliant. Scared the hell out of me.
I thought The Grudge was scary too, while the original I found laughably silly.

Yes they were. You have to experience these films in true surround sound otherwise its a waste. Films of this caliber require surround sound, imo its 50% of the experience.

For the record The Ring messed me up good
