District 9- 8.5/10 still amazing, but the impact of the first viewing is still the best

Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang- 6.5/10 there are far worse kids films out there, and I even got a little dewy eyed at the end... ahhhhh!

War of the Worlds (Spielberg ver) 6/10 Entertaining mostly, but a ultimately a squandered opportunity.

Spartacus: Blood And Sand Season 1: 10/10
This truly is an amazing show that really developed from somewhat cheesy to an awesome action packed show, full of betrayal, devious plans and cunning characters.
The action is awesome and very stylized which suits the show. I'm really looking forward on seeing this released on Blu or DVD!

Maybe I bowed out of the series too soon, then. The two episodes I saw on Encore (the pilot and "wh*re") came across as skinemax movies ... not particularly well acted, lots of nudity. My wife calls it "Spartacus, Blood and Boobs".

you need to see el mariachi before you see desperado. it sets the style and tone for desperado.

Much better movie.

The Phantom Menace - 6/10
Attack of the Clones - 7/10

Creating and Killing off Maul in TPM and then making Vader a whiny little brat then Jar Jar Binks are why these are not better.

Yeah, it starts out a little cheesy, but after those first two episodes it really gets better. Highly recommendable IMO!

man, you have to! this was one of the best films i saw last year. this and moon probably.

Yep definitely the best Asian movie ive seen in a long long time,Moon is also my pick for the movie of the year.

I think it's been cheapish on hmv's webiste for a while on blu ray and I kept meaning to pick it up. I'll be sure to now.
From the clips I've seen it looks awesome , when I said I'd never seen a Donnie Yen movie I lied because I have seen blade 2.

What do people want from a big budget super hero film?

Its got story its got action good enough for me. I found it throughly entertaining and class this as a solid solid sequel

I know it's been a while since it came out, but I just saw this the other day in theaters, and I loved it. I was cracking up at Chris Evans' character. The action was fun to watch. I wasn't bored once during the movie. The only thing I had a problem with was the ending with the bad guy.

I just watched this one yesterday myself. I gave it about a 6.5 because I like a few of the one-liners and I like Charles S. Dutton.

A couple lines I thought were funny:

Kyle - "Your asking me to explain the behavior of a m____f____ pestilence?"

And when Michael is starting them off shooting on the roof and warns them not to shoot their hands off and they all look at Percy because he seemingly lost a hand while serving in the military and he says "What the f___ are you all looking at me for?"

There was some good stuff in that movie!

as you can see from the sig - i love the prophecy. i think even dogma ripped off elements of it. quite an underrated film i think.

by the way man - i frikking love your sig! i like that jack burton made the cut too.

Yeah the Prophecy is one of my favorite movies. It sucks that not many people have seen or heard of it too.

i just remembered - constantine had similar elements to its story too.

bamboots did a cool job on that! no axel foley or john mcclane though?
