I don't skip movies or actors just because they're oddballs like Cruise or Nick Cage. Acting seems to be a career that draws quite a few complete wackos.
I occasionally won't see movies/tv shows due to REALLY loudmouthed political actors ... Sean Penn, Rosie O'Donnell, etc. I'm comfortable with the fact that I disagree politically with almost everybody in Hollywood, so you're run-of-the-mill liberal actor/actress doesn't really bother me (Sutherland, Baldwin, Clooney, etc., etc., etc.). But, when their political persona exceeds that of their acting-related persona, that's usually when they lose me ... i.e. when I just see loudmouthed Sean Penn, rather than whatever character he's pretending to play.
I'll also occasionally skip movies due to political content ... but that's mostly because I don't want to give financial support. Green Zone is the most recent example I can think of (though there are others ... the Golden Compass, Rendition, etc.). I actually still will likely see Green Zone (the action looked pretty good) ... I'll just wait until I can buy it on resale at a used DVD place so the production company won't make a nickel off of me.
Really looking forward to the new toy. I'll be taking a CHL Class in the next month or two ... why have a weapon if you don't have it with you when you need it?

no worries my good man. i've also preordered kamui gaiden. despite the mediocre reviews it looks like it'll be fun. how can it not be - it has ninjas AND pirates AND sharks. if it somehow had a pinball machine too, it would deserve an oscar on the concept alone.

Sherlock Holmes - 5/10.
Fell asleep the first time I tried watching it as I felt the beginning was really boring and drawn out. By the end of the film I enjoyed it a little more but still not that much.
Understand though, I really don't care for the Sherlock Holmes storyline that much but I was hopeful this movie would change my opinion. It didn't...

Nine Months (1995) - 9/10
- Perfect movie for guys who are hesitant to have a baby with their partner. I watched this with my fiance', and we were able to "cross the bridge" together.

because instead of a well thought out storyline thats chuck nut full of a headdy brew of mystery intregue & murder all hollywood did was opt for cheap laughs. thats been a crutch of hollywood for sometime now.

Totally agree except that I failed to renew my license last year and haven't gotten around to filling out the forms and paying the fee all over again. Did I mention in the Gun Collector's thread that I finally broke down and bought a Mircotech Halo??
~~I just watched Law Abiding Citizen earlier. I love this movie for some reason. Its nothing special and just the typical revenge movie, but I love how Butler's character messes up the guys that killed his family.

Alice in wonderland - 3/10
I found it awfully boring, something just felt off with the whole film. was quite nice to see someone i know be an extra in it though even if it was for a split second it still made my life feel less wasted, on the up side i also saw Beverly hills cop 2 - 9/10 which put a smile on my face because like die hard they are just so much fun to watch, eddie on his best form i think.

Legion: 6.7 out of 10 (plus side: bullet proof angel wings & old lady demon was the s#!t. negative side: no nudity
Sunshine: 6 out of 10 (plus side: a buch of cool actors including soon to be Captain America actor Chris Evans. negative side: Seems to be tooo much stuff crammed into one movie.)
Planet Hulk: 6 out of 10 (plus side: Hulk kicking Betra Ray Bill's ass. Negative side: they changed wayyy to much of the original story & it did not work.The comic was far superior.)
Conan the Barbarian: 17 out of 10 (pus side: EVERYTHING. negative side: it ends... & has a crappy sequel)
