The Horseman - 8 out of 10

This movie came out of nowhere. If you have Netflix you can view it instantly. It's one of the better revenge films I've seen in years. It's got an indie feel to it as well which I loved.

Wow if you gave it an 8 it must be good.

I have a soft spot for indie films and this was Taken on an indie level with a much better script.

I liked The Horseman but still prefer Dead Mans Shoes overall.

I just watched the Midnight Meat Train. I know, sounds lame. There were some parts that made me go GRRRRR no one would ever do that!!!! But, it wasn't too bad. I fast forwarded through some boring talking. But other than that I give it a 6.5.

Yeah, lots of gore, guts, blood. Realistic? Hmm, massive sized meat cleaver impact (with big, strong man behind it) I'd say, pretty realistic yeah. It's twisted, and also, has a twist you wouldn't expect. I actually enjoyed it, I wont lie.

Finally watched Trick 'r Treat - 7/10 Sam is awesome. Good story - Will go out and buy for the Halloween collection.

Well, you're just a bit biased on this particular subject.

Just wanted a take on the effects aside from the other potential problems with the film.

Nice.

Since the 80's movies rarely show guts anymore. Even the "torture porn" stuff like Saw, while being violent and gruesome rarely show entrails. I miss the days of the original Dawn of the Dead and real pig intestines.

By far one of the best films to come out in the past decade.

Yep, I fnaly got round to this, had it on DVD for like 2 years. I'd say about a 9/10

Shutter Island 8/10 Well put together but saw the end coming a mile off

Planet Terror 7/10

Deathproof 7.5/10

Event Horizon 5/10 Not as good as I remembered.

Paranormal Activity 5/10 couple of creepy moments, but mostly just OK.

3:10 to Yuma 7/10 Russel Crow always tends to drag a movie down a point or two

Avatar 8/10 Actually gets better each time I watch it.

Where the Wild Things Are 100/10- Just perfection!

Surfs Up 5/10

Tale of Despereaux 4/10 (looked great but deviated soooo far from the book, which I've read to both my kids and we love!)
