Pretty great! I loved Hit Girl, of course. She was definitely the best thing about the movie. Great action sequences. Beautiful choreography!

Groundhog Day! I love that movie.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of Black Pearl 8/10 Inagruably the best of the series so far. Really wish they'd kept Zoe Saldana around for the sequels though.

Ah crap...I watched it when it first came out too...


Well I just watched Predators for the 2nd time...guess what? I liked it less!

6/10....think my previous was 8/10.

I realized this 2nd time around that the Predators, the stars of the film for me, have less screen time than I would like. Now I'm not saying they need to make these films from the viewpoint of the Predators or anything like that....I get that you have to have the human aspect.

However, that human aspect is Adrian Brody in a role I when I first heard about it and then told myself it worked the first time I saw it. It gets more and more irritating the more you see it...it did for me anyways. It's poorly acted (not looking for Shakespeare) and overall I wish there was more Pred stuff happening.

The other thing that drove me nuts was all the shots of their expressions when they saw something new. It's like 10 minutes of the film...just them staring in awe......

I actually wish that buff Ross,...sorry Royce, would have just left the other 2 behind. That's his character throughout the whole film and then he abandons it at the last second. I'm even fine with him being blown to smithereens when the Beserker blows up the ship...then the Beserker could kill the other 2 and the movie would end. To me, that would be unexpected and leave the audience completely surprised. As it ends now...it's par for the course really.

Think I just saved myself some money by not really wanting figures from this film. Yay for me!

Yeah. He should've become an unlikable peice of ____ so that by the end of the movie you'd have no one to root for. Because that's the whole thing about the Predator series...you dont root for the hero.

I think it would have made the film a little edgy and more enjoyable overall.

Let buff Ross kill a few Pred's and then get off'd by the Beserker or something....but don't turn him into a guy that is a mercenary for god knows how long and then decides he wants to risk it all for the last chick on the Predator planet.....

The more I discuss it the more I dislike it....should stop while I'm ahead.

Well, you totally missed the whole point. But whatever. Making a character a piece of ____ doesnt make him edgy. That was the same thinking that the morons who made the new Nightmare flick used for Freddy....and that obviously worked so well...

I liked when Berserker

blew up the ship

because I thought they were taking it in a direction where Isabelle would turn out to be the hero. It felt unexpected and I liked it. Then Royce showed up and i sorta thought "eh...dangit".

However once the whole thing went down i was fine with it. He had to redeem himself from being a jerk almost the entire movie and I understand that, It's called character development..it happens or at least it's supposed too.

It's a character Arc. It's a good thing to have. Royce is a tragic hero. He's not entirely unlikable, even when he leaves them, you can see he doesnt want to leave Izzy alone. He DOES want to help her....but he doesnt because he has supressed his human emotions. Izzy hasnt. She is human. Royce isnt. He does finally realize if he goes back to earth...he'll be alone. No one will be there for him.

So he goes back. I dunno...it's not deep, but it's a good arc. Pretty basic, but I like what they did with it.
