Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Ocean's Eleven ('01) - 6/10 Entertaining to say the least.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - 8/10 Had no interest in theis franchise when they started rolling out but no I can't get enough of them. Great imagination and they only get better with each year, with the exception of 5 but Goblet was a tough act to follow.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ('90) - 8/10 Theres a lot of nostalgia going into that but objectivity be damned, I love this movie. It's definitely not as campy as the two that followed it and I definitely appreciate how closely it sticks to the source material.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923) - 9/10 based off the time frame of when it came out. This was a monumental picture in the '20s, and to think less than ten years later they had sound and color. Nowadays people go ape____ over this 3d gag craze.

The Wolfman: 3/5

It was better than I was expecting, but still just okay. I watched the unrated cut which had a surprising amount of gore. The werewolf scenes were all pretty good, except for some of the last battle. The beginning and human stuff was dead boring, although I loved Hugo Weaving.

Maybe Captain America has a small chance.

Blade 8/10

Just got the Dutch Blu-Ray version from Bol.com (The Canadian version Blu-Ray available in N. America is pretty messed up. Only 1.78:1 aspect ratio instead of the correct 2:35:1, and a not great transfer to boot)

Nice clean looking transfer (better than I recall it in the theater "back in the day" actually)

Also grabbed Blade 2 and 3 (timing was funny as my HT Abigail Whistler showed up from SS today too)

Buried - 8 out of 10

The Social Network - 8 out of 10

What's similar about this movies than their exact high scores? The fact I didn't care for either film. I score based on technical value be it the writing, directing, casting, the score, and/or the acting. In this case, both films scored well in all the aforementioned factors... across the board. Except for two important factors. I wasn't a fan of the stories or the pay offs in the end. I guess not everything is supposed to have a positive outcome or ending, but the stories just didn't intrigue or grab at me.
