I JUST finished watching it and i'd also give it a 7/10. VERY overrated though. What else is new. Decent movie though.

Shoulda been called Driver imo.

I think some people aren't seeing past the literal definition of the word Drive when seeing this movie. The word's other meanings are just as applicable to the character of the film as the physical act of driving a car.

Yeah, I think it was a bit overrated, as well (so was the music, though it had a certain vibe to it that had potential IMO), but like you are suggesting, still good. Had an interesting atmosphere and style, taking advantage of Gosling's minimalist acting approach. I really enjoyed seeing Albert Brooks as a gangster.

Who'd think one day Albert Brooks would play a badass? And a convincing badass too. Him and Pearlman.

Who'd think one day Albert Brooks would play a badass? And a convincing badass too. Him and Pearlman.

I sat in on a Q&A with him after the movie and he was hilarious recounting how he really wanted the part and even threatened Nick Refyn to get the part (all in character of course) and how he actually made one actor pass out from choking him to death from a scene that was ultimately cut out.

Dark Ride - 6/10

a typical slasher film, but probably more slow than usaul slashers which is why I gave it a 6. Other than that it was alright, kinda reminded me of the old slasher Funhouse.

That one scene with the handshake? Man, that bothered me. The way he did it was just...intense.

The extended edition shows him gutting the henchman for a bit longer than what is shown. Very messed up.

Contagion ... 7.5/10. Pretty good. Well acted, kept my attention.

The presentation was very straight forward though. Almost like a retrospective documentary of a worldwide plague ... actually reminded me a bit of World War Z in that respect. Not a lot of suspense or drama -- or at least no more than a really well-made two-hour all-access investigative news report on a catastrophe.

Drive 10/10- I absolutely loved this movie. The performances from top to bottom were great some even more than great. The soundtrack was excellent I still cant get it out of my head. I have to disagree with some of the so-so reviews on here.

Nice film, really enjoyed it. Clooney was excellent.

agreed I loved this movie. Did you here about the woman who literally sued the studio that produced this movie for false advertising. She believed she was going to see some high octane film like fast and furious b/c of the preview and instead got an "artsy film"(WTF). I just find it funny that people are now being litigious about hollywood producing true films rather than expensive shallow spectacle films (nothing against Fast Five it rocked)
