And yeah, I'll have to see if I even have a service like that in the area. Disk 2 played fine for 3 days, then nada. All my other games are fine....so definitely this disk

Update: so disk 2 decided to play today....finally got through the Claire Storyline on disk 2 (first). Gonna check out Leon now. Pretty good. Ending boss battle was a tad rough for me.....

Thanks; had no idea! We shall see.......I am liking RE2, but I feel like they cheated it's length a bit by having you replay the same game twice, essentially.

I think Resident Evil 2 was cursed from the beginning for me. Started on disk 1. You all were kind enough to correct that.........disk 2 worked for 3 days, then wouldn't work. Got it to finally work again to beat that disk's storyline. Started disk 1... and yesterday some new PSone memory cards came in. I formatted one. Xferred my files over on the RE2 playthrough. Deleted them off the original card (WHY matt, WHY!?) and the new disk said nothing was saved.

So have to start over. Disk 2 doesn't work. Waiting for my replacement disk. LOL.

You just have to laugh it off as LIFE HAPPENS

So, I am starting to think Resident Evil 2 is not just cursed but damned. So, after the disk 2 issue, could not restart it. Decided to replay disk 1 as Leon (since gotta wait for replacement copy), made it to the end quite a bit faster than my first time as Clare and the new memory card I was using is apparently faulty. Lost all my progress again.

Went to check out my copy of RE3 - got from the same guy as my RE2 and seems great. So, RE2 indicates Chris (and I thought Jill at the time + brad) went to Eurpoe to stop Umbrella. So, was the story changed to be just Chris in Eurpoe? Do we get a game with Chris in Europe? I am a little confused. I am playing these in the order they were released, so know another game did not come out between Re2 and re3.

RE3 was put out in 5 months dev time since Code Veronica was taking too long. IIRC RE3 was originally CV.

RE3 also starts the day before RE2, and ends the day after RE2.

CV is kinda the Umbrella Europe story that is mentioned in in that diary. CV takes place the December the same year after RE2/3.

You have to play it before CV since it's the conclusion to Raccoon City's story.

Looks like RE4 is a massive step up from the PS3 port, but not as good as it could have been.

I found the new hd release to be a step down. Ive encountered numerous glitches. Ashley wont tell me off for looking up when she is at top of a ladder, i suplxed a monk on some stairs and he disappeared, theres a cell where you first meet the invisible bugs where if you run in to the wall he starts kicking himself in back of the head, if you are running and then press aim the camera " whips " to the side and doesnt instantly start you aiming the way you were facing. That happens wayyy too often. I've had more too. This is the only port of the 3 recent hd releases that id say can be avoided. Eventhough its the best game.

Did anyone run into problems with RE5 PS4/XB1? I started playing recently and I got some crashes where 'my disc couldn't be read'. My disc has a small scratch and some smudges, but I've had worse discs from all my systems play without issues. I know the game did have some problems on launch.

It's difficult (but not impossible) to scratch a blu ray, since they have protective coating not present in other forms of discs. It's most likely the smudges you mentioned, you can use your palm and wipe it from the center outwards under running cold water. Wipe dry center outwards with a lint-free cotton cloth.

I think it was cause of the broken up case I first got with it, and how the disc was dislodged. I've had too many PS4 games where the disc fell out these days, the hell is wrong with the case? Maybe I'll try that method for the smudges. haven't had crash issues since Arkham Knight though, so it's weird

7 out of 10 of my PS4 games I bought online arrived dislodged. PS4 cases suck.

RE5 is the first one I got that was broken-ish. Granted, the store I bought it from is notorious for...this sort of thing imo

So I'm at like 5 crashes today on the Public Assembly portion alone. I think during one Chris actually died or something.....and it's not just smudges. I see a small scratch on the outer ring.

So I think my disc is ****ed. I don't know what to do, cause the store I bought it from can't take another copy in. Not when I'm already on my second disc. I dont know if I can even contact Capcom
