What ranks did you get for both campaigns in RE2? Also, how did you fare against Mr. X most of the time?

D for both...lol. I guess I save way too much. Did another and got a C....lol.

I actually had to google 'Mr X' to make sure I knew you were talking about the hooded dude. He was cool looking until his final reveal. Pretty much just ran from him most times........final fight, took about three tries before I got him....

One of these days I will replay RE2 with Disk 1 first and then disk 2. It didn't seem that much different/harder at all.......

I'll probably wait for a sale then. No plat means not much reason to run out and spend more time on it. The game is still fresh in my mind after playing the ugly PS3 port earlier this year.

Well, I've met up with the Umbrella mercs....the one good guy and his shady russian CO. I've now collected all three items for the cable car they are all in.....trying to make my way there now. Playing on hard. Currently have ZERO ammo for any weapon.

So, the loading screen always has the comment, 'they've taken everything away from me...' meaning Jill. Do they explain that comment? To me, the story is somewhat more implied for her than explicit.

Why did you play the PS3 port?

It'll go totally bargain bin, RE5 and 6 did pretty fast. The only other Capcom remaster I might get early is Dead Rising since I've been waiting literally a decade for an acceptable way to play it God it's almost sad how 'Capcom Remaster' is a term....

Update: made it to the clocktower. Guessing this is the final level? Decent game, if a tad short. But the presence of Nemesis is pretty intense!

update: at the final part. having to connect the 3 batteries to make the super charge weapon work. Issue I have: game lets me do the first two easy, then does not let me connect #3 easily. Acts like I cannot push the battery in,

Just finished RE3. First time playthrough: 8 hours and change. Saves: 30. Grade: F

LOL. I wear that F score as a badge of honor. Apparently I save way too much for the game' scoring system.

Next stop: Resident Evil survivor (psone) - playing these in order they were released. Overall, really enjoyed RE3. Wished there was a little more backstory, but gonna have to check out the books.

Did you jump off the bridge when you get to the Dead Factory bridge and Nemesis shows up? That gives you the canon ending.

Yeah, where it asks you to fight or jump. In reality I'd jump, so yeah, I jumped.

What's weird to me: do your choices really matter? At the end, after my final battle with Nemesis in the final form, it asks to finish him off or run. I ran and moments later, the city is nuked....?

I got an epilogue with a pic of jill saying she found a hideout of chris....but that she felt he was alive and was gonna find him

. popped in Suvivor - may save that for another day. Gonna check out Veronica Code X

Staying to kill Nemesis just has her blow it away with a Magnum she finds laying next to a dead solder.

There's 9 epilogues I believe you get when you beat the game over and over. All of them are now non canon aside from Leon's.


Oh you should know that when Jill gets infected at the Clock Tower, the one or two days (I forget how many) she's unconscious is when all of RE2 takes place.

Staying to kill Nemesis just has her blow it away with a Magnum she finds laying next to a dead solder.

ok cool - I was wondering about the helicopter guy. So, what is the deal? Thought barry died in RE2 and RE3 ends one day later.......?

Yeah they don't mention him by name, but it's Barry that came in the helicopter.

BTW, it's inconclusive if Nicholai survived or not. It's implied in a file you find in Survivor he might of survived since it's entries he made after Raccoon City got nuked.

I think it doesn't really matter since he's probably never coming back regardless, it's been like 20 years now. Although he had a cameo in the first Outbreak, not sure about OB2.

Leon's is canon, it's how he becomes a Gov't agent.
