So... the RE6 CE is £130!

Too expensive for my tastes. its probably worth it but i wont be paying that much.

The unique blend of action and survival horror returns in Resident Evil 6 Collector's Edition.
Series favourites Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield return, joined by new characters to face a new threat - the highly virulent C-virus. The action takes place all over the world, from North America, to the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia and the Chinese city of Lanshiang. Joining the cast will be presidential aide Derek Simmons, who vows to track down Leon for his involvement in the President's death, and femme fatale Ada Wong. But what part will Ada play as the story unravels and does she have ties to the mysterious Neo-Umbrella?

There are three distinct story threads, each with their own pair of characters for solo or co-op play, both online and offline. But these tales are intertwined, delivering different perspectives and gameplay styles of the larger story, and the innovative Crossover mechanic will allow players to team up and share the horror. At key moments, up to four players can join together online to tackle a specific situation, with some stages seeing the usual partnerships swapped to further increase the depth of gameplay.

Key Features of Resident Evil 6

Global Horror - the outbreak of the C-virus is worldwide and far from contained, with the action taking place in North America, Eastern Europe and China
Multiple characters and intertwined storylines - Play as Leon S. Kennedy, BSAA member Chris Redfield, and son of Albert Wesker, Jake Muller, each with their respective partners - US government agent Helena Harper, BSAA member Piers Nivans and Sherry Birkin
The story and the action cross paths - At significant points pairs of characters are drawn together, the all new Crossover mechanic allows up to four players to experience the horror together online
Solo or co-op - Resident Evil 6 delivers both single and two player co-op gameplay either offline or online
A new challenge - Confront the results of the C-virus in all its varied and deadly forms:
Zombies make a return to the Resident Evil series, but can now run, jump at players and even use weapons, making them far more challenging than in previous games
The enemy creatures known as J'avo first came to prominence in the conflict zone of Eastern Europe and have the ability to regenerate when injured. And if J'avo take substantial damage to a particular area they can mutate the affected body part into a variety of different forms, meaning players will have to rethink their strategy and adapt to this unpredictability
The C-virus has also given rise to the Chrysalide, which take the mutation process even further as they undergo a full metamorphosis, spawning a whole host of horrific creatures
Play your way - Upgrade your character to provide faster reload speed, improved firepower or increase your health bar with the Character Skill system
Vehicle based action - Resident Evil 6 will include gameplay sections featuring vehicles such as motorbikes, cars and snowmobiles
Mercenaries returns - Players will once more be able to enjoy the highly popular Mercenaries Mode
Redesigned control system - Resident Evil 6 features an evolved control system allowing players to shoot while moving; slide; roll in any direction and to take cover along with the addition of an enhanced melee attack

The 3 medallion things are nice, something id like to wall mount. The book also interests me too. But thats £90 extra so i wont take the plunge. If it had a nice statue like the Ezio statues id of maybe bought it then i could justify buying 3 things at £30 each extra. But the DLC codes and hoodie id never use. Dont like the nail bomb box either.

Epic cover for the steelbook.

Had to laugh at relyonhorror messing around with the duck dive thing XD

liked the leon demo, wasnt bad. Loved how you could shoot part of the head off XD. Hated Chris and Jakes.

If they did leons like that for the whole game, Id buy it, but I still hate the duck and dive. A dodge for the zombies is perfect, but the duck and dive is excessive for the slow movers. Works better in Chris/Jakes because of the action orientated scenarios.

Id buy an RE4 with zombies (or if they did it with crimson heads; faster and smarter than slow zombies). But I cant buy a game at £130 (because if I buy RE, its got to be collectors regardless, just like I did with GC/PS2 RE4 and RE5 then GOLD edition) to only want a quater of the content. Thats my main main gripe. Buying a quater of a game, quater of what I want.

All revelations needed to do was have better enemy design, make the hunters actually as dangerous as they should be and underwater combat, and it would be PERFECT. They get the gameplay mostly spot on, its just everything else.

Why does chris run so damn gay as well.

Finished all three scenarios. Color me unimpressed =/

Chris's was difficult to see what was going on all around me at the end and I kept running out of ammo. Luckily the knife is awesome and I had fun with that more than the gun fights :lol

Jake is fun too, I hope to see more Wesker like moves in the final product!

Leon's...the zombies are way too easy. A whole group runs up to you and you're like "oh ____!" then they just stop. What?! There is no reason zombies should be stopping when a mob of them were hungry for flesh ten feet away! They're basically Ganado/Majini stopping in front of you like that!

:lol you mean the elevator bit? Yeah I started to panic...but then just mashed the melee button and came out unscathed...The demo was fun...but it worries me a bit.

Yes the elevator bit should have been way more intense and may you feel in danger.

I think zombies are easy because its the wrong design of zombies.

I still maintain, Crimson heads are the way forward; fast, much more dangerous and manouveurable, decapitation or fire only to kill them.

Slow zombies dont translate well anymore. I mean, imagine just having the Handgun for a start, unless you can basically destroy the brain with the handgun, you can only stun them with a headshot and not kill them. Would add a whole new level to strategy and survival, because if you have limited bullets and youve got to choose whether to fight or run. if you run, youve got to think is it worth trying to line a headshot for a stun or to shoot the leg and slow them down, take the most threatening ones and make them less mobile.

That shouldve been the direction to go, because you can have more action that way but it retains the horror and surivival.

Knifes overpowered, but I reckon the only reason it should have that amount of power is if your able to stab a zombie straight into the head, sort of like in ORC. Knife would do bugger all against a zombie, they dont feel pain and it really wouldnt stun them.

To be honest, thats over critical (I know, coming from ME!)

Stuff like graphical glitches, not super detailed environments and screen tearing, shouldnt even be thought about as a criticism. Its an earlier build demo, and will deffinitely be ironed out.

Dead Space's demo was horrid, but the game was phenomenal. Might be the case for the new RE fans. So its stupid criticising things like that.

I didn't have to play the demo to tell that it looks crappy. The game looks like RE5 all over again but even easyer :O

Im only looking forward to Leons chapter and from what i read ill have to put it on extreme mode
