If he was axed in 6, I think that would have been enough to make everyone hate the game, even the CoD fanboys it's mostly just since with 6's poor story (even, hell, especially for RE standards) it would have been so much worse. Can you imagine Piers being the one to kill him with Chris? Or Jake being 'reunited' with him? I wouldn't mind seeing Leon and Wesker interact but this is the only time I can actually be fine with Wesker's death

Are we really sure Wesker is dead? I mean, it's RE. I'm sure Capcom can come up with a super convoluted explanation for how he survived.

I could see them going with the Cell route from DBZ. As long as just one of his molecules survived than the rest of him could regenerate. The series is dumb scifi. It could happen.

I can see something like that happening since a lot of PS1 games happened to retcon deaths in some way. MGS needs no explanation (Because none would work), Spyro the Dragon actually retconned the deaths of the antagonists in the original trilogy, pretty sure some things were retconned regarding Cortex in Crash Bandicoot, and so on.

But the real question: the size of Capcom's balls...or tenacity rather. Hideki Kamiya would be pretty willing to revive Wesker I think. But what about Capcom's higher ups themselves? We saw a few retcons with Racoon City's destruction but I see that more as some drunk rambles. This would need something...something...involving Alex Wesker in some way or something?

What they should do is erase RE6 from all canon or just erase re5 and 6 from canon becuase all those games did was ruin characters and adding ****** ones (cough cough jake edgy) Maybe with RE2 remake they can start from there and work back up with an even better story but not changing things or being to drastic. Just cut the dumb BS with monsters with guns and wesker being dead and EVERY RE CHARACTER BEING SOME SPEC OPS AGENT. Seriously with the **** these guys have seen you'd think they'd get a laid back job at a cosco or somthing. Looking at zombies all day must be triggering.

Resident Evil 6 introduced cloning. So they always have that in the back pocket. And honestly, i dont think people would care it was a copout if it turned out Re 5 Wesker was a clone or something just to bring him back.

It varies per character to be honest. Chris, Jill and Leon make sense due to the RPD, STARS in particular for the former two, along surviving outbreaks, investigations and so on. Claire is a civilian with informal training from Chris, so she has no real business even if TerraSave is...something else from BSAA and the government. Sherry only got it due to the virus inside her, as otherwise I can see her family and history being a huge detraction.

If the Biohazard Musical/Play is canon, props to Rebecca for trying to get away from everything as just a professor. This makes her the literal only normal character

That reminds me of something i just remembered. Alice was an homage to Alexia Ashford in the movies. Its so well written youd never know.

The character was created to be its own thing so we have an outside character on the inside with us the viewer witnessing the world around them. But when she started to develop here telekinetic powers and **** it was inspired by Alexia ( i think Paul WS talks about it in the audio commentary for RE extinction maybe ? )

How many CG RE movies are there?

I thought Degeneration was ok. Pretty boring at times but i dont regret watching it. But i know id never watch it again.

Damnation actually felt like it was a Resident Evil CG movie though with Leon, Ada, Lickers, Las Plaga's as well as mercs and the Tyrants. Degeneration wasnt fun, Damnation was fun.

I've only seen Damnation once, and Degeneration a few times mostly the airport scene after that I turn it off.

I'll rather watch cutscenes from the older games. these movies do nothing for me. Besides laugh at the horrible dubbing. plus, it has Leon...
