I've only seen Damnation once, and Degeneration a few times mostly the airport scene after that I turn it off.

I'll rather watch cutscenes from the older games. :lol these movies do nothing for me. Besides laugh at the horrible dubbing. :lol plus, it has Leon...

Because the games are dubbed oh so well haha Troy Baker is probably the strongest vocal talent that they've ever procured.

At least we can laugh at RE cutscenes for some (hopefully) intentional stuff :lol

Troy Baker, good god. After TLoU I think he really started to drop the ball on his acting. I remember seeing a ton of peoples' Top 10 video games for 2014, and people noted 'Troy Baker is in all of these games isn't he?' :lol and they weren't wrong. He's in way too much these days. I honestly kind of worried for him as Joel in TLoU after seeing Jake in RE6, among other roles.

It's not that he's bad, it's just the voice that companies are hiring him to do. He has an amazing range, but people only want him for that hot-headed loud mouth voice he does. Look at his role as the Joker. He was able to imitate Hamill near flawlessly.

It's the same seat Nolan North is in. Everyone wants his "Drake" voice. To the point where his voice was a joke option in Saints Row 4. But he also has quite the range. For example, playing the cannibal in TLOU.

Pretty sure that hair cut is to bring in the fangirls at this point. Jill sports that RE3 outfit all the time for the men after all :lol

Oh yeah, his work can be great if the right company has him. He might have been one of the best things about Arkham Origins, but post-TLoU a lot of companies wanted his hot-headed voice. inFamous for instance where he got a lot of hate from people at times.

North is a strange cause because for some roles it didn't seem like he was told to change his voice or tone. Desmond and Drake were, almost the same at times but I think North was able to diversify both. Drake became more cocky, while Desmond was more whiny. His Penguin needs work, because I can see hear a lot of Drake but I can see it becoming something great, but David in TLoU was chilling at times. North's worst role in my opinion was the Prince in Prince of Persia 2008, I found nothing to like in the character or performance. I got ACI and Uncharted around the same time, so it didn't help.

For me I'll always think of Baker as Kanji from Persona. That's kind of his default for me. The bad thing is that the games industry really doesn't have a large pool of actors to pick from. So we're left with North, Naker, Bailey etc. That's why I love companies like remedy that step outside of those individuals and give us great characters using more unknown people.

I would think Capcom would put a stronger effort into getting high quality voice work for RE since it's the only vocal track that is available.

You can tell they are trying. People hated it, but they really did try with 6. The remasters are a step in the right direction as well.

Jesus Christ, Leon get a ****ing haircut. What are you, 35...36 now? Ugh :lol

You chaps are harsh. :lol

I recently bought a prisitne copy of RE4 for my PS2 for an absolute steal - really pleased. Never played it before. Fired it up the other day, & while I'm not much of a horror fan generally, there's something about this series of video games that I've loved since buying the original game back in 1996.

Anyway, I've only gotten about 30mins in, & already love it! The setting, the graphics, the game mechanics, the bleak tone - all of it. I thought I'd like it less since it's a big change from the previous three (& the over the shoulder thing), but it's still essentially a tense survival horror action adventure game - which hits all the right marks for me. I'm looking forward to my next sitting. :)

Harsh is an understatement. Believe me, it is.

Trust me, RE4 is a lot better than the hipster fans like to claim it to be. What it did for the franchise has been largely undone by Capcom, but on its own it's still a fantastic game :lecture

RE4 is excellent, and I like it a lot better than CV. Leon's ****** one liners to Salazar and Saddler, Monkey teenage Ashley with the body of a 25 year old, the mood, it's just an amazing experience,

CV is the odd title in the series. Two playable characters but they share the same campaign, longer game by extension, surprising difficult spike at times, feels very linear compared to other games, and the game's design does not feel like it actually accommodated these changes. Also it has that freak Steve, such a **** character.

I used to like CV but as time went on, it really felt alien to me for a variety of reasons.

CV is easily broken by the player too. If you don't know what you're doing, you can royal **** yourself in Chris's section since you left stuff either on Rockford with Claire or have her with weapons aside from the rifle when you fight Nosferatu.

Code Veronica is unbreakable. You can screw yourself out of weapons, but you cant literally break the game. Its flawless ive been through it so many times. People think if they leave the fire extinguisher and cant get the magnum the game is broken, its not. If people once they switch back to Claire stock her up with all the weapons and then you return to chris to fight alexia the game makes sure you have the combat knife ( which you can kill Alexia with easy ) and people also think that its broken and bad game design. But you can tell by the fact you cannot actualy initiate that sequence without being armed with the knife that the devs knew in advance what would happen.

I dont think Code Veronica is breakable outside of the actual player themselves not being able to pick up the slack of bad item management. You can do all knife runs!
