The only thing left to do in the series that will garner any interest will be RE2-3 remakes. But Crapcom utterly refuses to even entertain the idea.

I like CV, but I don't know what it is... I couldn't love it as much as other people do. Although, the biggest selling point was reviving Wesker into the absolute most badass villain Capcom ever produced.

The anticipation for the HD Remaster definitely has me super nostalgic for older RE games.
And it just so I happens I stumbled across this article thats relevant to what RE "could" have become. I'm kind of glad we got the RE4 we did but his concepts that were eventually put aside were definitely interesting (if maybe a bit more Silent Hill's style).

Played the Remaster for almost an hour and really dig the most of the "updates." The new controls scheme largely works pretty well - though I'm not totally into the L1 + R1 to shoot that they threw in there to match the modern RE games, but its not all that big of a deal (and the other control schemes revert it back to the older style). I do however like the new movement controls (which really aren't new - RE: Outbreak had that movement style).
