I don't care if people enjoy the movies and it has no effect on me, but I don't think the part in bold is a good thing at all. I miss survival horror style Resident Evil games.

I do sometimes miss that aspect of the games as well. There's still a little of it left in RE5 (just a bit, mind you). The movies don't really bring out that side of the games because it would likely slow down the pacing. Either that, or it would make the films seem too much like every other horror flick out there. What seperates Resident Evil from, say, Dawn of the Dead or similar zombie movies? The badassery factor. The suspenseful survival feel works great in a video game, but if the movies were the same... I won't lie, I probably wouldn't be able to tell them apart from the typical, run-of-the-mill horror cashgrabs.

I want Joe Manganiello to play Chris and Micheal Fassbender to play Wesker. Thank you!

YES.

The poster is official, it was released on Sony's facebook page.

Also, if anyone is interested I made a forum last month for fans of ALL things Resident Evil so people that enjoy the games and the movies can talk freely with out ever having to deal with _______s.

It isn't much and I'm probably missing a lot of the features this site offers but hey, it is one of those free boards.
https://thedeadfactory.proboards.com/index.cgi
(names stupid I know, couldn't think of anything clever for it)

If you go there be sure to check out the Casting Call section and see my Resident Evil cast board. It's won me contest hosted by SlantSixGames and a couple years ago I should an older version of it to Milla on twitter and she had it was awesome.

Cool Dale, thanks for posting this. Love the new suit except for the weird placing of an umbrella emblem, think it would look better not so front and center.

see this pic makes me think, Either this Alice with the black suit is evil Alice, or a Clone,
or they are really doing Time Travel, seriously, what else? the planet was destroyed and dried up in RE 3, there were barely any survivors in RE 4,
with the stuff in the trailers either they went back in time or RE5 is a prequel with clones and Evil Alice clone, which is what I think is going to end up being,

Spoiler alert about the New York setting.

It is. Umbrella's biggest lab is in the artic and there are multiple levels in the lab. They have recreated portions of major citys so they can run outbreak scenarios. New York in the shot is a fake New York.

What if it's all just one giant "Danger Room?"

so the giant licker is in the fake city? wtf? I guess is better than Time Travel, but, its still weird,

Thats cool, I usually avoid spoilers, but that was kind of bugging me too. :panic:

The fake Sony ad for the teaser trailer hints at all the locations that Alice will be "visiting" hence the tag line "Evil Goes Global". China, Russia, Germany, Japan and I think some other locations.

Also for anyone that cares Milla said a few weeks ago that the full trailer is going to be attached to the new Adam Sandler movie "That's My Boy" which comes out 6/15. Why it isn't attached to a this weeks release of Prometheus, I have no clue but hopefully the trailer will appear online some time next week probably on 6/14 or 6/15.

wait, would those locations be real or part of the Lab?

Blackmask

Part of the lab. I think the only real locations in the film is the Whitehouse in DC, the Arcadia ship off the cost of LA and the lab itself in the Arctic (not sure if North or South pole)

No official stills on anyone else in the cast as of yet, just Alice and Ada.

Trailer next Thursday as well as a live streaming event for fans to ask Milla questions
